On Sunday, April 20, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh accompanied by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, Her Royal The Countess of Wessex and Lady Louise Windsor, Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie of York, and other members of the British royal family attended Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

On Sunday, April 20, 2014, a new photo portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was released.

According to the Associated Press, the image, shot by famed photographer Mr. David Bailey, was taken to:

“…mark Her Majesty’s 88th birthday on April 21, 2014. The photograph was taken at Buckingham Palace in March and was commissioned on behalf of the British Government’s GREAT Britain campaign.

The image will be used in activity to support the GREAT campaign, which aims to generate jobs and growth through highlighting internationally Britain as a world-class destination for trade, tourism, investment and education.”

On Friday, April 18, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continued their visit to Sydney, Australia.

This morning the royal couple visited the Royal Easter Show, met with patients and their families at the Bear Cottage Children’s Hospice, and visited Manly Beach where they “…watched a surf lifesaving competition and met volunteers…” according to Clarence House.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh Attend Royal Maundy Service at Blackburn Cathedral. (VIDEO)

On Thursday, April 17, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh arrived at Blackburn Cathedral in Lancashire to attend Royal Maundy Service.

According to ITV News, Maundy Thursday is:

“…the Christian holy day falling on the Thursday before Easter to commemorate the last supper of Jesus with the Apostles and echoes the story of Christ washing the feet of his disciples shortly before his death.

The Maundy Service, which dates back to the 13th century, originally involved the sovereign giving money to the poor and washing their feet, a tradition which ended with James II in the 18th century.”

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Continue Their Visit to Australia. (VIDEOS)






On Thursday, April 17, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continued their visit to beautiful Australia.

This morning the royal couple visited Winmalee in the Blue Mountains where they “…met with firefighters and locals affected by wildfires that swept through the region last year, destroying more than 200 homes…” according to the Associated Press.

The duke and duchess also visited Winmalee Guide Hall, toured Echo Point “…where they met three Aboriginal Elders representing the Indigenous landowners of Echo Point, and Narrow Neck Lookout where [the royal couple] met young people taking part in adventure programs including abseiling and team building exercises…” and much more.

On Wednesday, April 16, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport to begin their tour of amazing Australia.

Thereafter, the royal couple visited the famous Sydney Opera House where they attended a “…reception hosted by the Governor and Premier of New South Wales at the Sydney Opera House…” according to the Associated Press.

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall Visits the Crathie Opportunity Holidays in Scotland.

camillaOn Tuesday, April 15, 2014, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall, known as The Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland, visited the Crathie Opportunity Holidays in Aberdeenshire.

According to Clarence House, during yesterday’s visit the lovely duchess “…unveiled a plaque in memory of Miss Margaret Boyd who was a significant donor to the organization and [met with] Miss Boyd’s family, along with supporters, guests and staff…”
