HM Queen Elizabeth II Attends the Opening Day of the 2015 Royal Windsor Horse Show.

On Wednesday, May 13, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II accompanied by Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall attended the opening day of the 2015 Royal Windsor Horse Show (RWHS) in Home Park, Windsor, England.

According to the official website for the RWHS, Her Majesty watched:

“…a variety of her horses compete, including her ex-racehorse Barber’s Shop who was second in a high class ladies hunter line up in the evening sunshine. Her five year-old novice heavyweight hunter Tower Bridge, who was bred by Her Majesty, finished third in his class. Both were ridden by Katie Jerram.”

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Hosts a Lovely Garden Party.

On the afternoon of May 12, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, Their Royal Highnesses The Earl and Countess of Wessex, and Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester hosted the first Garden Party of the year at Buckingham Palace in London, England.

According to various sources Her Majesty beamed as she spoke about her fifth great-grandchild, Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.  One lucky guest who spoke to the Press Association noted how Her Majesty “…was pleased to have another great-granddaughter in particular.”

An estimated 8,000 guests were served “…20,000 sandwiches, 20,000 slices of cake and 27,000 cups of tea…”

HRH The Earl of Wessex Opens a New Art Venue at the University of Bath.

On Monday, May 11, 2015, His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex officially opened the new art venue, The Edge, at the University of Bath.

According to the newspaper, Bath Chronicle, the new venue contains:

“…a 220-seat theatre, performance studios, rehearsal studios, three galleries, and a contemporary café.  It also includes an education training suite, which will be used by the university’s School of Management for courses, events and seminars.”

(VIDEOS) HRH Prince Harry of Wales Continues His Visit to New Zealand.

On May 12, 2015, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales continued his visit to New Zealand. Today, the prince was in the city of Christchurch where he toured the University of Canterbury, viewed the Quake City Exhibition alongside the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Mr. John Keyand much more.

HRH The Countess of Wessex Opens a New Air Operating Base at RAF Benson.

WESSEX

On Monday, May 11, 2015, Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex officially opened the new open the new air operating base at the Thames Valley Air Ambulance Base at the Royal Airforce Benson in Oxfordshire.

The Thames Valley Air Ambulance provides “…life saving service seven days a week, 365 days a year, covering the three counties Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire…” according to the TVAA official website.

(VIDEOS) HRH Prince Harry of Wales Visits New Zealand: Day 2.

On Sunday, may 10, 2015, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales continued his royal tour of amazing New Zealand.

This morning the fun-loving prince visited the town of Invercargill in southern region.  Whilst there Prince Harry received a traditional Maori welcome as well as cheers and screams from a hundred or so royal fans.  Anyway, the prince also had a chance to meet with local government officials, snuggled with a 118-year-old reptile named Henry, toured Stewart Island, a remote place with “…a population of just 380, and took a short boat ride to Ulva Island, a nature sanctuary mostly covered by unspoilt rainforest…” and a bunch of other fun adventures that you may not be interested in reading at the moment.  Just kidding.   🙂
