His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales continued his visit to the Bahamas on March 5, 2012 and on his final day the energetic prince attended a youth rally at the National Stadium.  Whilst at the rally Prince Harry gave a lovely speech to the delight of all.

Afterward, the prince dashed to the airport to catch a flight to Kingston, Jamaica.  Upon his arrival at the Norman Manley International Airport Prince Harry had, “… a brief chat with the honour guard’s Sergeant Major during the ceremony for his arrival…” to the island nation.

Meanwhile, it was announced that Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge will attend the opening of the East Anglia Children’s Hospice in Ipswich on March 19, 2012. During the opening the future Queen of England will give a speech.  To learn more about this upcoming event please click here.

On March 3, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales climbed Xunantunich Mayan Temple in Benque Viejo del Carmen, and after his climb a lovely journalist asked him a few questions about his time in fantastic Belize.

His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales arrived at the Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize on March 2, 2012 to begin his tour of Belize, the Bahamas, Jamaica,and Brazil as part of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

On March 1, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II along with the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge visited Fortnum & Mason in London, England.

During the visit Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II “….officially opening the Fortnum and Mason Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon…” as well as unveiled a plaque.

On March 1, 2012, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales was in Hounslow, England where he celebrated St. Day’s Day with the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards at the Cavalry Barracks.  During today’s celebrations the heir to the British throne presented ceremonial leeks to the soldiers.

According to the Press Association:

The prince began his visit with a private meeting with former Welsh Guards in the officers’ mess before presenting long service medals to several soldiers.

Before spending half an hour mingling and sharing a drink with the soldiers, Charles presented an injured Afghanistan veteran with his medal for serving in Helmand province.

Afterward, the Prince of Wales along with various soldiers played Paintball.  How fun.   🙂

On February 29, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II unveiled a new plaque in front of Buckingham Palace.  According to the Telegraph newspaper, the plaque “… marks the start of the 60km (37.5 miles) Jubilee Greenway walking and cycling route.”

Finally, it was announced that Her Majesty will officially open the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London on July 27, 2012.  Per a press release from the British royal court:

Her Majesty The Queen, accompanied by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, will open the London 2012 Olympic Games at the Olympic Stadium on Friday, 27th July.

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, will also open the London 2012 Paralympic Games at the Olympic Stadium on Wednesday, 29th August.
