On October 14, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived at the Beursschouwburg Art Center in Brussels to attend the “…launch of the multimedia educational project, Heb Jij ze Wel Alle Vijf?…” according to AFP.
On October 12, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Laurent of Belgium attended the “…inauguration of the allotments and nature reserve, Park Groot Schijn…” in Deurne in the municipality of Antwerp according to Agence France Presse.
On Friday, October 11, 2013, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived in the city of Liège for a one-day visit.
Upon their arrival the reigning couple were warmly welcomed to the city by thousands of people who were eager to catch a glimpse of their lovely new king and queen.
After attending a welcoming reception, held in their honor, at the Palais Provincial, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde signed the Livre d’Or and soon were off to visit the workshop, La Lumière. Whilst there Their Majesties mingled with staff and those participating in the workshop program.
Thereafter, Their Majesties attended a working luncheon with dozens of local government officials and businessmen. An hour and a half later Their Majesties completed a walkabout where they shook hands with hundreds of people, kissed babies, and generally had a fabulous time.

On the evening of October 9, 2013, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended a gala event in Neder-over-Heembeek to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Belgian company, Solvay.

On October 8, 2013, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands, and Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, as host, attended International Paralympic Committee Honorary Board meeting held at the Palais Royal in Brussels.
According to the official website for the IPC, the royal ladies and other attendees were:
“…updated on the growth of the Paralympic Movement over the last two years and received further insight into the activities that surrounded the London 2012 Paralympic Games, as well those for future Paralympics.
Members were [also] informed about the IPC’s vision in the lead-up to the Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 Games, as well as the Agitos Foundation, which is the IPC’s new development arm.”
On the evening of October 8, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Laurent of Belgium attended the opening of the 40th Edition of the Flanders International Film Festival Ghent (also known as Film Fest Gent).
According to the official website for the festival the theme of this year’s event is “…American independent cinema, [there will also be] a large-scale Martin Scorsese exhibition…” and much more.

On October 3, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived at the CENTRALE Contemporary Art Gallery in Brussels to view the exhibition, BAZA(A)R BELG(I)E: The 100 Best Belgian Masterpieces, curated by famed art critic, Mr. Claude Blondeel.
According to the official website for CENTRALE Contemporary Art Gallery this special exhibition is:
“…an anthology of the very best of Belgian culture. Claude Blondeel invites us to rediscover the history of Belgian art: from photography to lithography, advertising to painting by way of cinema and fashion. No logic, no chronology, no coherence, other than ‘good old-fashioned pleasure.’”
