TMs King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium Visit Arlon. (VIDEOS)
On the morning of Friday, October 18, 2013, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived in the city of Arlon in the province of Luxembourg for a one-day visit.
Upon their arrival Their Majesties were greeted with loud cheers and applause from roughly 5,000 people according to various sources. As usual local government officials were waiting for their new king and queen to arrive at the provincial palace including the mayor of Arlon, Mr. Magnus Vincent as well as the governor of the province of Arlon, Mr. Bernard Caprasse to name a few.
After a lovely reception, held in their honor at the provincial palace, Their Majesties attended a working luncheon with the local government officials, and then participated in an hour walkabout in the city. Later in the afternoon, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde visited the campus of the Université de Liège in Arlon.

On the evening of October 17, 2013, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Laurent and Princess Claire and Their Imperial and Royal Highnesses Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz attended a lovely concert held at the Palais de Bruxelles.

On the morning of October 17, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium accompanied by the Minster-President of Flanders, Mr. Kris Peeters, attended, Fashion Talks: Get inspired in Antwerp.
According to the official site for today’s event, Fashion Talks is “…the first major international fashion conference in Belgium.”

King Albert II of Belgium Attends an Award Ceremony in Brussels.
On the afternoon of October 16, 2013, King Albert II of Belgium arrived at the Palais des Académies in Brussels to attend the 2013 Terre d’Avenir award ceremony.
According to the Belgian royal court the award is “…given [presented] by the Fondation Reine Paola in collaboration with the Fondation Dirk Frimout.”

On October 16, 2013, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived in lovely city Ghent for a one-day visit.
Upon their arrival Their Majesties were warmly welcomed thousands of people as well as by various government officials including the mayor of Ghent, Mr. Daniel Termont, and the governor of East Flanders, Mr. Jan Briers.
After completing a walkabout, where the reigning couple had a chance to mingle with the people, Their Majesties attended a welcoming reception held in their honor. Soon, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde visited the beautiful Saint Bavo Cathedral and participated in a working luncheon with government officials and local businessmen.
