On July 21, 2014, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium accompanied by their children Her Royal Highness Princess Elisabeth of Belgium, His Royal Highness Prince Gabriel of Belgium, His Royal Highness Prince Emmanuel of Belgium, Her Royal Highness Princess Eléonore of Belgium attended the Te Deum at the Cathédrale des Saints Michel-et-Gudule in Brussels held on the occasion of Fête Nationale 2014.

In the afternoon, Their Majesties accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Laurent and Princess Claire of Belgium, and Their Imperial and Royal Highnesses Princess Astrid of Belgium, Archduchess of Austria-Este and Prince Lorenz of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este, presided over military parade along the Place des Palais, again, in Brussels.

Yesterday evening Their Majesties attended the Bal National concert in the neighborhood of Marolles in Brussels.

On Saturday, July 5, 2014, His Royal Highness Prince Amedeo of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este married the lovely Miss Elisabetta Maria Rosboch von Wolkenstein at the Basilica di Santa Maria in Trastevere, Rome, Italy.

Prince Amedeo is the eldest son of Their Imperial and Royal Highnesses Princess Astrid of Belgium, Archduchess of Austria-Este and Prince Lorenz of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este.

On June 19, 2014, His Royal Highness Prince Laurent of Belgium visited the Centre Hospitalier Neurologique William Lenox to attend the launch of a project which “…enables children to receive therapeutic customizable dolls which is a way for doctors to show children what kind of medical care they provide…” according to AFP News.

His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium Presides Over an Award Ceremony.

On Wednesday, June 11, 2014, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium attended the 2014 Prix Francqui held at the Palais des Académies in Brussels.

During yesterday’s ceremony His Majesty presented the award to Professor Bart Lambrecht, a “…pneumologist from Ghent University Hospital and researcher at the Flemish Institute for Biotechnology…” according to the Belgian royal court.
