His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium Opens Train World.

On Thursday, September 24, 2015, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium accompanied by Belgian Minister-President, Mr. Rudi Vervoort, officially opened Train World at the Schaarbeek Station in Brussels.

Train World, a museum of Belgian railway company NMBS – SNCB, is a:

“…showcase for the railways of the past, present and future. Train world is not just another railway museum; we are more of a train opera.  Train World combines the fascinating story of the train throughout the centuries with a look into the future; a combination that has been deliberately applied in every story.”

(VIDEO) TMs King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium Visit Liechtenstein.

On Thursday, September 17, 2015, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium along with His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, and Their Royal Highnesses Hereditary Prince Alois and Hereditary Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein participated in the annual meeting of the heads of state of German-speaking countries held at the beautiful Schloss Vaduz in Vaduz, Liechtenstein.

Other attendees included the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Joachim Gauck, the President of Austria, Mr. Heinz Fischer, and the President of the Swiss Federation, Ms. Simonetta Sommaruga.

During today’s meeting discussions focused on “…current political issues including the current migrant crisis in Europe…” according to the newspaper, Vaterland.

(VIDEOS) TMs King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium Visit the Province of Limburg.

PMBelgiumOn Thursday, September 10, 2015, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium made a one-day visit to the province of Limburg.

The day began in the city of Hasselt where Their Majesties visited the campus of the start-up company workspace, Corda INCubator.  In the afternoon, the popular reigning couple visited the city of Maasmechelen where they toured the Vakantiehuis Fabiola.  Whilst there they along with dozens of attendees celebrated the Vakantiehuis Fabiola’s 50th anniversary.  Thereafter, Their Majesties visited Connecterra as well as attended a reception held in their honor at the City Hall.

HM King Philippe of Belgium Attends a Football Match.

On the evening of September 3, 2015, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium attended the 2016 Qualification Games held at the Stade Roi Baudouin in Brussels.

His Majesty and hundreds of football fans cheered on the Belgium Red Devils as they competed against Bosnia Herzegovina.  So who won the match?  The Belgium Red Devils of course.  3-1.   🙂

HM Queen Mathilde if Belgium Attends a Meeting at the University of Antwerp.

On Wednesday, September 2, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived at the University of Antwerp to attend the National Immunization Program Managers meeting organized by the World Health Organization Europe Region.

According to the Belgian royal court during today’s meeting Her Majesty was “…informed [about various] scientific results of vaccinations and the impact of European vaccination programs [throughout] the European region…”

(VIDEOS) The Belgian Royal Family Attend a Te Deum Mass and More.

On the morning of Tuesday, July 21, 2015, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium accompanied by their children — Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel, and Princess Eléonore — attended a Te Deum Mass held on the occasion of Fête Nationale 2015 at the Cathédrale des Saints Michel-et-Gudule in Brussels.

Meanwhile, Their Imperial and Royal Highnesses Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenez of Belgium, Archduchess and Archduke of Austria-Este attended a Te Deum Mass in Anvers (Antwerp).

Over in the city of Mons, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Laurent and Princess Claire of Belgium attended a Te Deum Mass at the Collégiale Sainte Waudru.

In the afternoon, the Belgian royal family along with dozens of Belgian government officials watched a military parade in Brussels.

Later in the evenig the royal family, government officials, and proud Belgians watched an amazing firework show in the city center.
