(VIDEOS) HRH Crown Princess Mary of Denmark Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Dagcentret Strødammens.

On Tuesday, September 14, 2016, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Dagcentret (Day Center) Strødammens.

According to the Danish royal court the Dagcentret Strødammens provides “…relational and activity programs for adults who are late brain-damaged as a result of a heart attack or a stroke. The day center offers various creative activities including physiotherapy, IT training and more. The goal is to give users a meaningful life and increase their quality of life through social interaction.”

HM Queen Maxima of the Netherlands Attends the 10th Edition of the Postcode Lottery Green Challenge.

On Wednesday, September 14, 2016, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attended the finals of the 10th Edition of the Postcode Lottery Green Challenge held at the Gashouder in Amsterdam.

The Postcode Lottery Green Challenge is the largest annual and international green business plan competition. The winner receives €500,000 to help bring her or his plan to market. The runner-up will receive €200,000.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, September 13, 2016, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands visited the Explosieven Opruimingsdienst Defensie (EOD) in Soesterberg, Netherlands.

According to RVD, during today’s visit Her Majesty “…spoke with EOD’er in training and an instructor. They got to see what equipment the EOD used in making harmless and detonation of explosives…”

Countess Gunnila Märta Louise Bernadotte, Grevinna af Wisborg Has Passed Away.

It is with great sadness to announce that Countess Gunnila Märta Louise Bernadotte, Grevinna af Wisborg passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016. She was 93.

The lovely countess was married to the late Count Carl Johan Bernadotte af Wisborg, the uncle of His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. In a statement His Majesty said of his late Aunt, “…Gunnila Bernadotte was very much appreciated, a close and faithful friend of our family and leave us in great loss.”

On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of the Belgians visited the province of Luxembourg.

The day began with a tour of the Auberge du Vivier intergenerational center in Habay-La-Neuve. Thereafter, Their Majesties visited the Galaxia, a business park dedicated to space applications in Transinne. The day ended with a “…reception at the town hall of Libin followed by a meeting with the inhabitants…” according to the Belgian royal court.

(VIDEO) Her Majesty Queen Letizia of Spain Opens the 2016/17 School Year in Almeria.

On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, Her Majesty Queen Letizia of Spain accompanied by the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Mr. Inigo Mendez de Vigo and the Secretary of State for Education, Culture, Training and Universities, Ms. Marcial Marin, officially opened the 2016/17 school year at the Ginés Morata Center in Almeria, Spain.

According to the Spanish royal court, during today’s opening Her Majesty unveiled a commemorative plaque and was given a tour of the center. Her Majesty also “…visited several classrooms including Early Childhood Education (4 years), children with special needs, the library, a classroom for students enrolled in second elementary (7 years) and the gym.”
