On Friday, March 7, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands officially opened the Sportcomplex Koning Willem-Alexander in Hoofddorp.

According to RVD, the new Sportcomplex:

“…offers space for two competition pools, a recreational pool, a sports hall and a turn center. The complex is designed for both amateur and professional athletes. Thus, the accommodation is specifically designed for sports gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, synchronized swimming and racing.

The facilities offer talented young athletes and potential athletes opportunities to optimally prepare national sporting events. By the supply and design of the sports can also serve as a venue for national championships.”

On March 6, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh visited the Reed’s School in Cobham, Surrey to celebrate the school’s bicentenary.

According to the Associated Press, the “…school [was] originally founded in 1813 in the East end of London, as the London Orphan Asylum…”

On March 6, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias, Her Royal Highness Infanta Elena of Spain, Her Royal Highness Infanta Cristina of Spain, His Majesty King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, Her Royal Highness Princess Irene of Greece, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece along with their children, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Nikolaos and Princess Tatiana of Greece, Her Royal Highness Princess Theodora of Greece, His Royal Highness Prince Philippos of Greece, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia, His Majesty King Simeon II of Bulgaria, attended a special Mass held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of His Majesty King Paul I of Greece.

The Greek Orthodox Mass was held at the “…cemetery at Tatoi Palace…” outside of Athens, Greece.
