PalaisPrincierOn Saturday, January 25, 2014, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco signed copies of the photo book, KwaZulu Natal: Land of Dreams, by South African journalist, Ms. Tanya Waterworth and French journalist, Ms. Annick Thébia Melsan.  The princess wrote the foreward to the photo book.

According to the South African newspaper, Mossel Bay Advertiser, the photo book was “…commissioned to show the people of the principality where Her Serene Highness Charlene of Monaco, former South African swimming gold medallist, comes from…”

Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands Opens the 14th Edition of the Holland Festival.

beatrixOn Saturday, January 25, 2014, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands arrived at the Lucent Danstheater in Den Haag to attend the opening of the 14th Edition of the Holland Dance Festival.

His Royal Highness Prince Laurent of Belgium Views an Exhibition at the Bourse de Bruxelles. (VIDEO)

prins_laurent_van_belgic3ab3On the morning of Sunday, January 26, 2014, His Royal Highness Prince Laurent of Belgium arrived at the Bourse de Bruxelles to view the exhibition, The Art of the Brick, by Mr. Nathan Sawaya.

According to the official website for the Bourse de Bruxelles the exhibition:

“…is displayed on a surface of 1,300 m² more than 70 impressive objects in a new genre : exceptional works of art in simply breathtaking environments created with hundreds of thousands LEGO® building blocks. 

Among the most stunning and unexpected 3D creations, The Art of the Brick, exhibits reconstructions – often interpreted – of universally known works of art, like Rodin’s “The Thinker”, the “Venus de Milo”, Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” – where the hands and head explode from the 2-dimensional to the 3-dimensional ! – or “The Arnolfini Wedding Portrait” by Jan van Eyck – where the characters are outside the painting…”

Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako of Japan Attend a Folklore Show in Tokyo. (VIDEO)

On Saturday, January 25, 2014, Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako of Japan attended a traditional folklore show at the National Theatre in Tokyo.

According to Kyodo News, the performance featured:

“…songs and dances from Fukushima, Miyagi and Iwate prefectures, which suffered serious damage from the March 2011 massive earthquake and tsunami. The event was held to support reconstruction efforts in the prefectures.”
