On March 12, 2013, His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf and President Abdullah Gül attended the inauguration of the Institute for Turkish Studies at Stockholm Univerity.
Meanwhile, Her Majesty Queen Silvia accompanied by First Lady Hayrünnisa Gül visited the Stockholm Public Library. Earlier in the day Their Majesties along with President Gül and the First Lady toured the Swedish Museum of Science and Technology followed by a luncheon held at the City Hall.
On March 12, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan received an invitation from His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani to participate in an “…Arab Summit in Doha on March 26-27, 2013…”
And, finally, His Majesty accompanied by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales visited an “…enterprise conference…” in Amman according to the Jordan News Agency. During the conference His Majesty:
“…remarked that Jordan and the United Kingdom enjoy historical bonds, laid by the late King Hussein bin Talal and these bonds developed into a true partnership. [His Majesty also] appreciated the United Kingdom’s support for Jordanian innovation and entrepreneurship…”
On the morning of March 12, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Earl and The Countess of Wessex arrived in Prague, Czech Republic for a three-day private visit.
This afternoon the royal couple met with the President of the Czech Republic, Mr. Miloš Zeman and First Lady Ivana Zeman at Pražský hrad (Prague Castle).
On the morning of March 12, 2013, Their Majesties King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium visited the Institut Don Bosco in Woluwé-Saint-Pierre, Brussels.
And, that’s it. Looks like they had a blast whilst visiting the vocational school.
On March 12, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands visited the European School in Bergen to participate in the celebrations of the school’s 50th anniversary.
“The European School was founded by the European Union and provides multilingual education for children of employees of EU institutions and international companies. Currently, there are 600 students at the school consisting of 50 different nationalities.”
During her visit Her Majesty was given a tour of the school as well as met with staff and students.
On March 12, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall continued their visit to Jordan.
This morning His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi Ibn Mohammad along with The Prince of Wales visited the King Hussein Ibn Talal Mosque in Amman. During their visit the prince was:
“…briefed on the various stages of the building of the mosque which holds 5,500 worshippers. The prince also met with Muslim and Christian clerics and academics from Jordanian universities in the presence of the director of the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies Kamel Abu Jaber, the E.U. ambassador and the British Cultural Center’s director for a discussion of the Amman Message.”
The Prince of Wales also met with Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour in Amman. Discussions focused on “…bilateral ties and means of bolstering them, the latest developments in the Middle East and on the comprehensive reform process in Jordan.”
Meanwhile, in Mahis, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan and Her Royal Highness Princess Wejdan Bint Fawaz visited the Mahis Secondary School for Girls. During their visit the royals had a:
“…firsthand look at the impact Madrasati initiative and its civil society partners who have an education in Jordan. The Duchess of Cornwall and Her Majesty also toured the school library and watched a folklore dance performed by a group of students. They also checked in on some activities implemented by the Royal Health Awareness Society and ‘Katie’s Readers’, a program which is an accreditation program that sets standards for schools to reach in order to foster a healthy environment for living, learning, and working.”
Later in the afternoon, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Royal Automobile Museum in Amman.
On March 12, 2013, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg held an audience at the Palais Grand-Ducale with the “…Chairperson of the 9th Saeima of the Republic of Latvia…” Ms. Solvita Aboltina.
