Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall Visits the Newly Restored Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland. (VIDEOS)

On Tuesday, May 8, 2012, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall visited the newly restored Rosslyn Chapel in Midlothian, Scotland.

According to the official website for the Prince of Wales, the duchess attended a service to, “… celebrate the completion of the conservation programme of Rosslyn Chapel…”

The Duchess of Cornwall also attended a reception where she mingled with the Rosslyn Chapel staff, conservators, and others. Afterward, she “… unveiled a plaque to commemorate the opening of the new Visitor Centre.”

His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales Gives a Speech at the 6th World Fisheries Congress in Edinburgh, Scotland (VIDEO)

His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales is currently in Edinburgh, Scotland where he visited the Marine Scotland’s research vessel, Scotia, and attended a reception at Holyroodhouse for the Prince’s Trust Scotland.

Earlier in the afternoon, the future king of England gave an important speech during 6th World Fisheries Congress held at the Edinburgh International Conference Center.

Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover Attends a Cocktail Reception for the Winner of the 2012 GemlucArt Competition

On Monday, May 7, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover was at the Adriano Ribolzi Gallery in Monaco to attend a cocktail reception for the winner of the 2012 GemlucArt  competition.   This year’s winner, Ms. Christine Drummond from Brazil, displayed 15 colorful paintings at the gallery to 300+ guests.

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Attends the 50th International Annual Meeting of the World Wide Fund For Nature in Rotterdam (VIDEO)

On May 8, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands attended the opening ceremony of the 50th International Annual Meeting of the World Wide Fund for Nature in Rotterdam.

According to RVD, today’s meeting:

… is held for the first time in Netherlands on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Dutch branch of the WWF, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

The theme of the annual meeting is ‘Economy of the Future’. Prof. J. Randers,  gave a speech in which he outlines a number of future scenarios for sustainable development of the world.

Afterward, Her Majesty visited a photo exhibition by famed National Geographic photographer, Mr. Frans Lanting, entitled, LIFE: A Journey Through Time.

Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde of Belgium Participates in the 5ième édition des Assises de la Coopération Belge au Développement in Brussels

Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde of Belgium was at the Palais d’Egmont in Brussels this afternoon to participate in the 5ième édition des Assises de la Coopération Belge au Développement (5th Edition of the Foundations of the Belgian Development Cooperation) conference.

The theme of today’s opening session focused on the “…consistency of policies for development.”  According to the Belgian royal court, Princess Mathilde gave a lengthy speech which:

… emphasized the importance of the health and education sectors and the economic role of rural women in the agricultural sector and the food supply.

Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan Will Attend Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

On Tuesday, May 8, 2012, the Imperial Household Agency announced that Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan will “… visit Britain for the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s 60th year on the throne…”

The Imperial couple will arrive on “… May 16 and are scheduled to attend a luncheon hosted by the queen at Windsor Castle near London on May 18…”

His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales Receives an Award in Washington D.C. for Being Super Awesome! (VIDEOS)

This evening at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington D.C., His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales will receive the 2012 Distinguished Humanitarian Leadership Award from the Atlantic Council “… in recognition of his charitable and humanitarian work supporting servicemen and women.”  General Colin Powell will have the honor of presenting the award to the mildly handsome red-headed prince.

The Atlantic Council, which is celebrating their 50th anniversary, will also hand out awards to the CEO of Unilever, Mr. Paul Polman and United Nations Secretary General, Mr. Ban Ki-moon to name a few.

Earlier this afternoon, Prince Harry attended a reception at the British Ambassador’s residence in Washington D.C.
