On May 19, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh along with several members of the British royal family as well as several sovereign monarchs from around the world attended the Armed Forces Muster at Windsor.

On May 16, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was in Paris, France visiting the Musée National de la Légion d’Honneur. Upon his arrival the sovereign prince was welcomed by the Grand Chancellor of the Legion of Honour, General Jean-Louis Georgelin, then received “…received the honours of a Republican guard detachment.”
Soon, Prince Albert II was given a tour of the exhibition, La Berline de Napoléon, le Mystère du butin de Waterloo, by the curator of the musée, Ms. Anne Chefdebien. Afterward, the sovereign prince participated in a meeting with General Jean-Louis Georgelin then attended a reception with local dignitaries as well as Prince Albert II’s delegation.

On May 18, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall hosted a gala dinner at Buckingham Palace for sovereign monarchs from around the world. What can I say? All the imperial, royal, grand-ducal and princely ladies looked amazing. Well, except one. Inkhosikati LaMbikiza of Swaziland. Honestly, there are no words.

Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal (Princess Anne) participated in the Olympic flame handover ceremony held at the Panathinean Stadium in Athens, Greece on May 17, 2012.
The former Olympian and the only daughter of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh also spoke with the BBC regarding the “… pressure facing Olympic competitors.”

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh were in North-West England on May 17, 2012, where they inaugurated the new Chester Zoo Diamond Jubilee Quarter. The queen and the duke also opened the Orford Jubilee Park and participated in a luncheon held at the Merseyside Maritime Museum.

Meanwhile in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall visited Sudeley Castle the “…former home of Queen Katherine, the last wife of Henry VIII.” During her visit the duchess was given a tour by famed historian, Dr. David Starkey.
