Meanwhile, in Greenland, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark continued her visit to the beautiful and remote country.  On June 5, 2012, the future queen of Denmark visited a kindergarten in Saqqaq to promote, Free From Bullying, a campaign in collaboration with the Mary Fonden and Save the Children.

After her five-hour journey, via ship, from the town Ilulissat to the tiny village of Saqqaq the crown princess was warmly greeted by the locals as well as dozens of children.  Once inside the local kindergarten Crown Princess Mary mingled with the students, who presented her with sweet drawings, and listened to speeches which probably bored the crap out of the kids.   🙂  Any way, the children understood the importance of not bullying their fellow students so all was well.

Soon, it was time for the crown princess to leave.  So she did via helicopter.  Once she arrived back in Ilulissat the crown princess attended a dinner held at the Hotel Arctic with her entourage and Greenland’s Minister of Education, Science and Nordic Cooperation, Mr. Palle Christiansen.

Today, the crown princess visited the Jørgen Brøndlund School then launched a children’s relay race at the Seminary College in Ilulissat.  Afterward, she attended a luncheon, visited a crisis center, and finally dined with the Mayor of Qaasuitsup municipality.
