On the evening of July 30, 2012, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge attended the Royal Academy of Arts “… creative industries reception hosted by the British government supported by the Founders Forum…” in London.
According to the Press Association tonight’s event celebrates:
… UK culture, creativity, art and entertainment. The event is part of the Government’s GREAT campaign which aims to use the platform of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to showcase Britain’s capabilities and promote and enhance the country’s reputation aboard.
On Tuesday, July 30, 2012, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales was in Caithness, Scotland for a one-day visit. The future king began his day with a visit to Castletown where he opened the Backies two newly restored cottages funded by The Prince’s Regeneration Trust “… as part of the North Highlands Initiative” notes the BBC News. The cottages were recently renamed “… as the Caithness Flagstone Cottages.”
Afterward, the prince visited the offices of the North Highland Initiative and Wick Harbour. According to the Press Association, the Prince of Wales met with “…. representatives of the Harbour Authority…. The prince also met with [the] lifeboat crew who helped search for four airmen whose Tornado jets crashed earlier this month.”
On July 30, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands along with their three daughters continued to enjoy the 2012 London Olympic Games.
The royal family watched the Men’s Preliminary Field Hockey match, Group B, between the Netherlands and India held at the Riverbank Arena. Final score: 3-2, Netherlands. Princess Maxima and her Princess Ariane also enjoyed a Judo match this afternoon.

On July 29, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands along with their three daughters attended various Olympic competitions during day two of the London Olympics.
On their agenda today, the royal family cheered on Team Netherlandsduring a great Women’s Hockey match against Belgium. The final score: 3-0. Team Netherlands basically dominated the game! 🙂
On July 29, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco presented the gold, silver, and bronze medals to the winners of the Women’s 400m Freestyle swimming competition held at the Aquatic Center in London.
The sovereign prince, a member of the International Olympic Committee, presented the gold medal to Ms. Camille Muffat of France. The silver medal to Ms. Allison Schmitt of the United States of America and the bronze medal to Ms. Rebecca Adlington of Great Britain.
On July 29, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke of Edinburgh and the Princess Royal attended day two of the Team and Individual Eventing in Dressage. Also in attendance were Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte of Denmark, Mr. Peter and Autumn Philips.
Riding in today’s event, held at Greenwich Park in London, was the Princess Royal’s daughter, Ms. Zara Phillips, and her horse, High Kingdom. The final result for Ms. Phillips ride: 46.10.
Tomorrow, Ms. Phillips will compete the Individual Eventing: Cross Country.
