On April 2, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands began her visit to Indonesia and Malaysia as the United Nations Advisor for Inclusive Finance as well as Honorary Chairman of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion.
According to RVD, Princess Maxima participated in a meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with various government officials as well as with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Raja Nazrin Shah of Perak on March 2, 2012. This important meeting focused on “…access to financial services for low income groups.”
Today, the princess met with Indonesian government officials including the Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs, Hatta Rajasa and the Finance Minister, Mr Agus Martowardojo to name a few. Discussion, again, focused on access to financial services for the poor. Princess Maxima also visited migrant workers in Jakarta, Indonesia who are “…participating in a financial education program of the World Bank co-funded by the Netherlands.”
Meanwhile half way around the world, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are still on their luxurious ski holiday in Meribel, France. The future king and queen of England where recently seen whizzing down the beautiful French slopes with Miss Pippa Middleton and her uber-wealty, aristocratic, and not-so-handsome “alleged” boyfriend, George Percy.
