Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall Hosts a Reception at Clarence House. Plus, News Regarding the Duchess of Cambridge

The Duchess of Cornwall hosted a reception today at Clarence House for representatives of the Southbank Centre’s Women of the World Festival.

The event celebrates the “…achievements of outstanding women today…”  Guests included Bianca Jagger, Jenni Murray from BBC 4, author Kathy Lette, and many more.

Meanwhile, it was recently announced that the Duchess of Cambridge will accompany Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh to “… kick-start the Diamond Jubilee tour…” of the United Kingdom.  Click here to for more information.

His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales Getting Ready For His Tour of Sexy Belize, the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Brazil! Plus, Other News

Beginning on March 2, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales will begin his sexy tropical tour of Belize, the Bahamas, Jamaica and Brazil.  The second son of the Prince of Wales and the late Diana, Princess of Wales will represent Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Here is the rough itinerary via the official website for the Prince of Wales:

  • Belize (including Belize and Cayo Districts) from 2nd – 3rd March
  • The Bahamas (New Providence Island) from 3rd – 5th March
  • Jamaica (including Kingston and Falmouth) from 5th – 8th March
  • Brazil (Rio de Janeiro and the State of Sao Paolo) from 9th – 11th March.

Finally, according to CNN journalist, Max Foster, “…filming has started for a Prince Harry documentary at the Corinthia Hotel in London… “  I’m assuming the documentary crew will follow the prince whilst on his sexy tour to Belize, the Bahamas, Jamaica and Brazil.

Random Royal News Regarding Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium

On February 28, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde of Belgium was in Eke, to visit the educational center, Pedagogisch Centrum Wagenschot.  This center provides support, and in many cases, a home for the youth who have serious emotional as well as behavioral disorders.

His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg Visits the Köhl AG Company

On February 28, 2012, His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg visited the company, Köhl AG.  The heir to the Grand Ducal throne was accompanied by the new Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Etienne Schneider.  During the visit Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume toured the company’s production facilities as well as mingled with Köhl AG employees.

His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia Selling the Historical Diamond, Beau Sancy.

On May 15, 2012, at Sotheby’s in Geneva, Switzerland one of the most famous and historical diamonds will be sold.  The 35-caret diamond, known as the Beau Sancy, is owned by His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia.

The Beau Sancy is “…is expected to fetch $2-4 million (1.26 million-2.5 million pounds).”  Wow!

His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje Attends the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of the Java Sea in Den Haag (VIDEOS)

On February 27, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje attended the 70th anniversary of the Battle of the Java Sea held at the Kloosterkerk in Den Haag. Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands was to attend the event; however, she decided to stay by her son, Prince Johan Friso, side at Innsbruck University Hospital.  As a result, Prince Willem-Alexander replaced the Queen during today’s celebrations.

The Battle of the Java Sea began on February 27, 1942, in which the Allied Forces — Dutch Navy , American Navy and Australian Royal Navy — fought against the Japanese forces.  Over 2,300 men lost their lives.  Click here for more information and here.

During today’s event Prince Willem-Alexander met with survivors from the battle as well as listened to music by the Dutch Royal Navy Marine Band.  According to the website for the Dutch royal family today’s ceremony was :

…organized by the Royal Netherlands Navy Karel Doorman and the Foundation Fund. The Fund was established in 1944 to provide financial support to (former) soldiers of the Royal Navy and their survivors, who by war or service conditions have become financially dependent.

His Majesty King Siaosi (George)Tupou V of Tonga Visits His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican (VIDEO)

On February 24, 2012, His Majesty King Siaosi (George) Tupou V of Tonga met with His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican.  According to the news agency, Rome Reports, the King and Pope discussed, “…social areas that were important both to the government and the Church…”
