Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde of Belgium visited the Dienst Gynaecologische Oncologie (DGO) at the Universitair Ziekenhuis in Leuven on December 13, 2012.
According to the Belgian royal court:
“Researchers and doctors at the Universitair Ziekenhuis DGO perform a unique and innovative scientific research on the issue of cancer during pregnancy and, in particular, the consequences of cancer therapy for the child.”
On the morning of December 13, 2012, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the inauguration of the new premises of the Centre Médico-Psychologique and the Centre d’Accueil Thérapeutique à Temps Partiel in Monaco.
“The combination of these two centre’s within the same site, allows the sharing of infrastructure and some personal, it also meets the needs of larger surfaces generated by the development of their activities, which benefit more than 300 children and adolescents.”

On the evening of December 12, 2012, His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge attended the UK première of the film, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, at the Odeon Leicester Square.
The film is directed by Mr. Peter Jackson and stars Mr. Martin Freeman, Ms. Cate Blanchett, and Mr. Ian McKellen.
