His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan Meets with President Barack Obama. (VIDEOS)

On Friday, February 14, 2014, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived at the famed Sunnylands Estate in Rancho Mirage, California to hold an important meeting with President Barack Obama.

During their meeting discussions focused on bilateral relations between Jordan and the United States as well as the Syrian crisis.  President Obama praised the people of Jordan who have been:

“…very generous in absorbing hundreds of thousands of displaced persons from that war-ravaged country [Syria].  It puts a great strain on the resources of Jordan and it’s very important for us to make sure that we’re supportive of the Kingdom in accommodating all these refugees.”

According to the New York Times, President Obama also stated that he:

“…would seek to renew a five-year aid package to help Jordan bear the burden of the more than 600,000 Syrian refugees who have fled the civil war there. [And] that the United States would guarantee $1 billion in loans to help keep Jordan’s wavering economy afloat.” 

His Majesty King Abdullah II also held a brief meeting the Governor of California, Mr. Jerry Brown.
