H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco Presents Lettres de Créance and Attends a Film Premiere

On November 8, 2011, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco presented Lettres de Créance to several ambassadors (Ukraine, Switzerland, and Lithuania) at the Palais Princier de Monaco.

Later in the afternoon the prince attended the screening of the film, Oxygène, where he met with the director as well as actors in film.

On November 10, 2011, Prince Albert presented another Lettres de Créance, at the Palais Princier de Monaco, this time to Mr. Huges Moret (the ambassador of France in Monaco.) The ceremony was attended by Mr Jacques Boisson, Secretary of State, Mr Georges Lisimachio, Chef de Cabinet of HSH Prince and José Badia, Government Counsellor for External Relations. Mr. Hugues Moret was accompanied by Mrs. Claudine Jaffré-Baron, First Counsellor, Embassy of France.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco Receives an Honorary Doctorate

On October 27, 2011, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco received an honorary doctorate from the United States Sports Academy for his “… commitment to the Olympic Movement as both a competitor and leader.”  The prince received the honorary doctorate during last month’s 5th annual Peace and Sport International Forum.

The United States Sports Academy President, Dr. Thomas P. Rosandich, praised the prince for his:

…outstanding contributions to sport as a high school athlete, a college athlete, as an Olympian, and of course as a member of the Olympic Executive Committee.  His most recent contribution being recognized, of course, was the outstanding effort put forth in staging the Peace and Sport Forum, which was most impressive.

T.S.H.s Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco Attend the Opening of ‘Grace Kelly: From Movie Star to Princess’ Exhibition (VIDEO)

On November 2, 2011, T.S.H.s Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the opening of the highly anticipated exhibition, Grace Kelly: From Movie Star to Princess, at the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto, Canada.

This special exhibition, based on the Grimaldi Forum’s The Grace Kelly Years, chronicles the late princess’s life:

…told through her personal correspondence, famous fashions, films and a trove of memorabilia. Highlights include letters from “Hitch,” the original Hermès purse that was eventually named for Kelly, her Oscar for The Country Girl and home videos peppered with famous faces. source

After the opening of the exhibition the princely couple along with hundreds of VIPs attended a private reception in honor of the prince and princess of Monaco.

If you happen to live in or around Toronto or may be visiting the area in the future why not visit this special exhibition.  It ends on January 22, 2012.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco Recieves the President of Mali

On October 31, 2011, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco welcomed the president of  the Republic of Mali, Amadou Toumani Touré, to the principality.

The Malian delegation met with members of the Chamber of Economic Development of Monaco, the Government Counsellor for Foreign Relations José Badia and the Government Counsellor for Finance and Economy Marco Piccinini, to develop commercial relations between Mali and Monaco.

This afternoon the prince and the president had an opportunity to discuss Monégasque international cooperation actions in Mali, current economic relations between the two countries, the situation in sub-Saharan Africa as well as multilateral matters. The meeting was followed by a elegant lunch the Palace.

During his stay in the Monaco, President Touré will visit the Oceanographic Museum and Galerie des Pêcheurs for the exhibition of photographs of development cooperation programmes in Mali supported by the government of Monaco in partnership with the Monégasque Red Cross and Prince Albert II Foundation.

Tomorrow, H.S.H. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene will be in New York City to attend the Princess Grace Awards.  Then on Tuesday November 2 the princely couple will be in Toronto, Canada to attend the opening of Grace Kelly: From Movie Star to Princess exhibition.
