HM King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Attends an Award Ceremony.

On Friday, October 9, 2015, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands attended the 2015 Vrije Schilderkunst (Royal Award for Modern Painting) held at the Koninklijk Paleis in Amsterdam.

Established in 1871 by the late King Willem III the award is “…open to independent Dutch artist[s] under the age of 35 and carries four prizes worth 6,500 Euros.”

After the award ceremony His Majesty viewed an exhibition displaying the fantastic works by today’s winners as well as twenty other paintings submitted to the contest.

The Vrije Schilderkunst exhibition will be open to the public on October 10 – November 15, 2015 at the Koninklijk Paleis.

(VIDEOS) HM Queen Rania of Jordan Attends the Women in the World Summit.

On Thursday, October 8, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan attended day 1 of the 2015 Women in the World Summit held at Cadogan Hall in London.  The focus of the two-day summit will “…highlight a new Generation Girl platform that will amplify the authentic voices of young women leaders and showcase role models for girls…” according to a press release.

During the gathering Her Majesty gave a one-on-one interview with the founder of Women for Women International, Ms. Zainab Salbi.

On Thursday, October 8, 2015, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands visited the cities of Heerlen, Kerkrade, and Sittard-Geleen in the province of Limburg in southeast Netherlands.

(VIDEO) HRH Princess Caroline of Hanover Presides Over the 2015 Prix de la Fondation Prince Pierre.

On Tuesday, October 6, 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover presented the 2015 Prix de la Fondation Prince Pierre (FPP) to six winners inside the Salon des Glaces at the Palais Princier in Monaco.  Later in the afternoon, the lovely princess arrived at the Salle Garnier at the Casino de Monte-Carlo to attend the prestigious FPP award ceremony.

Established in 1966 by the late HSH Prince Rainier III of Monaco in honor of his father, HSH Prince Pierre of Monaco, the Fondation Prince Pierre aims to promote contemporary art, literature, and music.

HM Queen Margrethe II of Denmark Opens an Exhibition.

QMIIOn Wednesday, October 7, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark arrived at the Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen to officially open the exhibition, Eckersberg: En Smuk Løgn.

The exhibition showcases the works of the late Danish artist, Mr. Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg.

Eckersberg: En Smuk Løgn will be open to the public on October 8-January 24, 2016.
