On Thursday, November 12, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands officially opened three new operating rooms in the Medical Innovation & Technology expert Center (MITeC) at Radboudumc (Radboud University) in Nijmegen.
The operating rooms “…offers unique facilities for diagnosis, treatment and research. Thus it becomes possible in the near future in order to treat cancer within one day…” according to a Radboudumc press release.
During today’s opening Her Majesty also visited the:
“…innovation bazaar at the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre. There [she] heard presentations from professionals, patients and partners, about engaging, interactive examples of technological innovations. They were among more about surgical robots of the future, specific staining and imaging to better remove tumor tissue, and how 3D technologies help to better prepare operations and accurately perform.”

On the morning of Wednesday, November 11, 2015, Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan welcomed the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, and his wife, First Lady Andri Moustakoudes, to Amman, Jordan.
After the official welcoming ceremony at Al-Husseiniya Palace His Majesty and President Anastasiades held a meeting where discussions focused on strengthening bilateral as well as economic ties between Jordan and Cyprus.
On Wednesday, November 11, 2015, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands visited the neighborhoods of Lunetten and Hoograven in the city of Utrecht.
According to the newspaper, Haarlem Dagblad, during today’s visit His Majesty spent time speaking to:
“…local residents and parents active in the neighborhood. They talked about how people with different backgrounds feel at home in the neighborhood and what they do with each other in order to strengthen social cohesion.”
His Majesty also visited the football clubs, Ardahanspor VVU and DVSU, where he spoke with the directors as well as volunteers.

On Wednesday, November 11, 2015, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium participated in the Remembrance Day commemoration ceremony held at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Colonne du Congrès in Brussels.
This morning’s important ceremony commemorates the victims of World War I and World War II as well as the humanitarian and peace operations after 1945.
