H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends the ‘Peace and Sport International Forum 2011’ in Monaco

Fresh from his trip to New Zealand and official visit to Nepal, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the 2011 Peace and Sport International Forum in Monaco on October 27, 2011.

The Peace and Sport International Forum brings together heads of state as well as international figures from the political, sporting, private sector and civil society world to “…discuss possible initiatives and partnerships to make sport a vehicle for dialogue, stability and reconciliation throughout the world.”

This year’s attendees include H.R.H. Lestie III of Lesotho, the President of the Republic of Hungary H.E. Pál Schmitt, and the President of the Republic of Macedonia H.E. Gjorge Ivonov to name a few.

T.R.H.s Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Attend a Conference

On October 26, 2011, T.R.H.s Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands attended the Development in Business conference in Amsterdam this afternoon.  The purpose of the conference is “… to expand the cooperation development between the government and industry.”

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh Visit Melbourne and Perth, Australia (VIDEOS)

On October 26, 2011, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh visited Melbourne, Australia.  During their brief stop to the lovely city the royal couple opened the new Royal Children’s hospital and took a tram ride to the Government House.

Soon, they were off to Perth, Australia where the royal couple arrived just moments ago. “The royal couple will spend Thursday morning visiting Clontarf Aboriginal College and viewing sporting facilities, before attending a garden party at Government House in the afternoon…” notes ABC News Australia. Tomorrow, Queen Elizabeth II will officially open the 54-nation Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) on Friday where revamping succession to the British throne will be discussed.

H.R.H. Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Opens a New Building in Haarlem. Plus, Other News.

On October 25, 2011, H.R.H. Princess Maxima of the Netherlands opened a new building, Oecumenisch Diaconaal Centrum Stem, in Haarlem.  Apparently, the old building had become too small for the many activities and services provided to those in need so they built a new one.  To view photos please click here and here.

Later on in the afternoon, Princess Maxima was in Utrecht to attend the opening of the Slinger-Event 4×4. “The Slinger-Event, a local network of companies and local government, is a meeting about socially responsible business.” source  To view photos please click here.

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Opens a New School Building (VIDEO)

On October 25, 2011, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands was in Baarn to open a new school building at her old alma mater, Baarnsch Lyceum.

According to the Dutch newspaper, De Stentor, Queen Beatrix and her sisters attended the school in the 1950s.  Many years later her sons, Prince Willem-Alexander and Prince Friso, attended Baarnsch Lyceum.
