His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan Arrives in Bangkok, Thailand for an Official Visit: Day One

On Monday, June 25, 2012, His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan arrived in Bangkok, Thailand to begin his official visit to Southeast Asia.

According to Kyodo News, via the Imperial Household Agency, the crown prince will stay “… two nights in each of the capitals of the three countries  — Thailand, Cambodia and Laos — he will  visit.”

Any way, upon his arrival at Don Mueang airport in Thailand, Crown Prince Naruhito was greeted by government dignitaries and the press.  Soon, the future emperor of Japan was at Government House in Bangkok where the Prime Minister of Thailand, Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, hosted a reception in his honor.

Afterward, the crown prince was at the Grand Palace where he had a meeting with His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit of Thailand.

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands in Den Haag

On June 25, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands were at the Ridderzaal in Den Haag to attend the TEDxBinnenhof Catwalk for Innovation meeting.

According to RVD:

TED, which stands for Technology, Entertainment & Design and began in 1984, is an international non-profit platform where entrepreneurs and researchers from the three sectors present new ideas for solving social problems.

At present TEDxBinnenhof consists of ten people discussing their innovative solutions to social problems in areas such as energy, water, agriculture and nutrition. The ideas all meet the criteria that they are cutting-edge, focus on Dutch problem and accessible to a broad audience. Audiences include entrepreneurs, policy makers, researchers and young people.

Random Royal News Regarding Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall (VIDEOS)

On June 21, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall met with Burmese opposition leader and Nobel Peace laureate, Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi, at Clarence House in London.

During her visit with the prince and the duchess, Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi, had a private meeting with the royals then “… planted a tree in the garden at Clarence House.”  Today, she was at Westminster Hall where she was “…greeted by applause when she was introduced to MPs and peers…”  Click here to read more about her speech to Parliament.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh Attend Royal Ascot: Days 3-4 (VIDEOS)

On June 21, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh along with Their Royal Highnesses the Princess Royal, Princess Beatrice of York and Princess Eugenie of York attended the third day of Royal Ascot.  Also in attendance was the Duchess of Cambridge’s lovely mother, Ms. Carole Middleton.

And, once again, on the fourth day of Royal Ascot, Her Majesty along with the duke attended the races with other members of the royal family.

‘Fabergé: Imperial Jeweler to the Tsars’ A New Exhibition At the Bowers Museum

On June 23, 2012, the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, California will finally open the highly anticipated exhibition, Fabergé: Imperial Jeweler to the Tsars.  

Also, on opening day, beginning at 1:30 PM, there will be a lecture from Dr. Mally, Professor of History, Emeritus, from the University of California, Irvine.  During the lecture, Dr. Mally will:

… examine the famous Russian jeweler, Carl Fabergé, and how he established his global reputation during the reigns of Russia’s last two tsars… Dr. Mally [will also] explore how we can use Fabergé’s work as a way to understand the social, political, and cultural upheaval that eventually led to the end of the Russian empire.

If you happen to live in southern California or will be visiting the area why not visit this special exhibition?  It ends on January 6, 2013.   🙂

Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco in Los Angeles!

On June 21, 2012, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco arrived at crappy LAX airport (from Charles de Gaulle in France).  Accompanying the princess was her brother, Gareth, and his beautiful girlfriend, Roisin.

It is unknown how long the sweet princess will be in my hometown; nonetheless, I hope she has a great time whilst in City of Angels!

Random Royal News Regarding Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco. (VIDEOS)

On June 20, 2012, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco along with Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover attended the 4th Annual FANB Race Challenge in Monaco.

According to the Palais Princier de Monaco the FANB Race Challenge, with the theme of ‘Sport-Health-Environment’, allows students from grades 4th-6th to participate in an hour and 45 minute race in which teams of students (usually three or more) solve puzzles “… in the Fontvieille gardens.  The race is part of the Olympic Day recommended by the IOC indented to promote the Olympic movement.”  

At the end of the 4th FANB Race Challenge Princess Charlene and Princess Caroline presented medals to the students.

Meanwhile, in Brazil, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended a reception along with “…UNITAR Executive Director, Mr. Carlos Lopes.”  Click here to read more about the event as well as to view photos.
