His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje was in Den Haag this morning to participate in the international conference WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Post-2012, organized by the World Health Organization and UNICEF.
According to RVD, the prince was invited to participate in today’s event in his “… capacity as Chairman of UNSGAB, the Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation of the Secretary-General of the United Nations.”
The WASH Post-2012 conference focuses on:
“… the period after 2015 and attempts by some 80 experts from international organizations to come to the setting of new targets after 2015 and indicators to monitor progress with regards to clean drinking and water sanitation.”
