On April 9, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Daniel of Sweden was in Brussels, Belgium “…to visit various European Union institutions…” including the European Parliament, the Swedish Enterprise’s Brussels office and much more.
On April 10, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan held an audience with Armenian Apostolic Patriarch of Jerusalem and Jordan, Archbishop Nurhan Manougian, in Amman. According to the Petra News Agency discussions focused on the preservation of:
“…the Arab, Islamic and Christian identity of Jerusalem, support Jerusalemites and help them in the face of challenges and difficult times they are living through. His Majesty also stressed his desire to enhance values of tolerance, love, coexistence and brotherhood between Muslims and Christians and maximize what they have in common.”
His Majesty King Abdullah II also held an audience with the Bahraini Foreign Minister, Sheikh Khaled Bin Ahmad Bin Mohammad Al Khalifah. Discussions focused on “…boosting bilateral ties in various fields between the two countries, the current situation in the Middle East, the Syrian crisis, and efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East.”
On April 10, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan was in Amman to participate in the opening of the:
“….regional Arab Development Forum in Jordan launched by the United Nations Development Group (UNDG) as part of the worldwide U.N.-led consultations on the global development agenda beyond 2015, when the current Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) expire.
The two-day forum will identify regional priorities for the global development framework that will succeed the MDGs framework. Her Majesty is one of two members representing the Arab World on the U.N. High Level Panel advising U.N. Chief Ban Ki-moon on the post-2015 global development agenda.”
On April 10, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias visited the region of Pallars Jussà, Lleida, on the occasion of the centennial of the first hydroelectric facilities in central Cataluña according to the Spanish royal court.
On April 9, 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias presided over the El Barco de Vapor and Gran Angula Youth Literature Awards ceremony held at the Real Casa de Corrreos in Madrid.
