The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall Visit King’s College Hospital. (VIDEOS)

On Thursday, January 23, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited King’s College Hospital (KCH) in London.   

According to the official website for KCH, the royal couple:

“…met with families whose babies are being cared for on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), before moving on to visit Marjory Warren Ward, which was recently modernised and redesigned to help people with dementia.

The Prince of Wales then joined a wide-ranging discussion around volunteering, showcasing the Prince’s recently launched initiative and King’s own successful volunteering scheme, which recently recruited its 1,000th volunteer. 

Separately, the Duchess of Cornwall visited The Havens, a sexual assault referral centre…”

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal Visits South Shields. (VIDEOS)

AnneOn the morning of January 22, 2014, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal arrived in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, England for a one-day visit.

Today, the princess officially opened the Marsden Road and Wellbeing Health Center, visited the M. I. Dickson Butchery where she along with others celebrated its 60th anniversary, and opened the Mission to Seafarers “…newly refurbished Holborn House premises…” according to the newspaper, Shields Gazette.

Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex Opens the New Livity School Building.

WESSEXOn January 22, 2014, Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex officially opened the new Livity School building in Steatham, London.  According to the official website for Livity the school is:

“…for children with complex needs which was created in September 2001 as part of Lambeth’s Special Needs Strategy. ‘Livity’ is a new word which essentially means ‘Living Life Positively. 

The school aims to help all pupils to build self-esteem and confidence thus promoting their maximum achievement. This will enable them to gain the skills necessary to learn and to develop their full potential in all areas of the curriculum.”

 

TRHs Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias Attend the Opening of the 34th Edition of the Feria Internacional de Turismo. (VIDEO)

On January 22, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias attended the opening of the 34th Edition of the Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR) at the Parque Ferial Juan Carlos I in Madrid.

The FITUR is a “…global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading trade fair for inbound and outbound Ibero-American markets.”
