On July 2, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Shell Technology Centre Amsterdam (STCA). According to RVD, the theme of the celebrations is, Shaping the Future of Energy through Innovation.

On the evening of Tuesday, July 1, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the opening of the 5th Edition of the Monaco Blue Initiative, organized by the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco in collaboration with the government of Chile and co-hosted by the Universidad de Concepción, held at the Union Club in Santiago, Chile. The theme of this year’s conference: Paving the Way to Multi-use Ocean Management.
Issues to be discussed during the two-day conference will focus on “…economic and social development around marine protected areas and those related to the maritime areas in the high seas governance…”

On Wednesday, July 2, 2014, Her Imperial Highness Princess Mako of Japan, as Honorary President, attended the opening of the 21st Tokyo International Book Fair held at the Tokyo Big SIght Convention Center.
According to Kyodo News:
“…about 1,530 publishing and related companies from 25 countries around the world gathered at the event in the capital’s Ariake district to make sales pitches and market their books.”
On Tuesday, July 1, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II held an audience with the Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, Ms. Tricia Marwick, at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Yesterday, Her Majesty and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh presided over the Ceremony of The Keys, again at the Palace Of Holyroodhouse.
On Tuesday, July 1, 2014, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the Blessed Sacrament School in Islington, North London, to visit “…the school-based program, M-PACT (Moving Parents and Children Together), a project she launched to help families affected by addiction…” according to Clarence House.
