On Sunday, July 13, 2014, Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan accompanied by Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako of Japan, Her Imperial Highness Princess Aiko of Japan, Their Imperial Highnesses Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko of Japan along with their family attended the Japanese Folklore Show held at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.
According to Kyodo News the show was “…hosted by Empress Michiko to celebrate the Emperor Akihito’s 80th birthday…”
On July 3, 2014, His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain arrived at the Biblioteca Nacional de España in Madrid to attend the opening of the exhibition, Diseñar América: El Trazado Español de los Estados Unidos.
According to the official website for Biblioteca Nacional de España this unique exhibition:
“…brings together, under the same looking glass, Spain’s ample contribution to the construction of the United States territory, landscape and cities, presenting this as a living legacy under constant renovation. This is, therefore, a fluid dialogue between past and present illustrated by more than 70 original works from the collections of the National Library of Spain, the Spanish General Military Archive and the Archives of the Spanish Naval Museum.”
On Saturday, July 5, 2014, His Royal Highness Prince Amedeo of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este married the lovely Miss Elisabetta Maria Rosboch von Wolkenstein at the Basilica di Santa Maria in Trastevere, Rome, Italy.
Prince Amedeo is the eldest son of Their Imperial and Royal Highnesses Princess Astrid of Belgium, Archduchess of Austria-Este and Prince Lorenz of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este.
On Friday, July 4, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the 2014 FIFA World Cup quarterfinal match between Germany vs. France football match held at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Earlier this week the sovereign prince was in Chile for a three-day official visit as well as to participate in the opening of the 5th Edition of the Monaco Blue Initiative in Santiago.
On Saturday, July 5, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales participated in the 101st Tour De France Grand Depart at Harewood House in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
