(VIDEO) His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Opens the Akoesticum Training Center in Ede.

On Friday, January 23, 2015, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands opened the Akoesticum in Ede.  This new national training center is for:

“…amateur and professional in the areas of theater, music and dance.  The facility contains 10 rehearsal rooms of various sizes with good acoustics, an auditorium where large groups can rehearse, 148 beds, a kitchen, bar and dining area.”

(VIDEOS) His Majesty King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Has Passed Away.

On the early morning hours of Friday, January 23, 2015, His Majesty King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud had passed.  He was 90 years old.

In the afternoon, the funeral prayers were held for His Majesty at the Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Grand Mosque in Riyadh.  According to the newspaper, Al Arabiya, thereafter “…the late king was carried in a simple white shroud to an unmarked grave in a Riyadh cemetery where many citizens rest.”

On Wednesday, January 21, 2015, His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan arrived at the Gakushuin Women’s College and Graduate School in Tokyo to speak to students about the benefits of studying abroad.

Meanwhile, the Imperial Household Agency announced that His Imperial Majesty Emperor Akihito of Japan has cancelled all of his engagements on Wednesday due to “…cold-like symptoms…”  The IHA also noted that all engagements scheduled for the remaining week are still pending (hence depending on the emperor’s health).

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends Mass at the Cathédrale de Monaco

On Tuesday, January 20, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco along with members of the Carabiniers du Prince celebrated Mass at the Cathédrale de Monaco in honor of the Feast Day of Saint Sébastien.  The former Roman soldier who died around 288 A.D. is the patron saint of the Carabiniers du Prince.
