On Thursday, December 3, 2015, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden participated in a board meeting with representatives from the Prinsparets (Prince Couple) Foundation held at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, December 2, 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Sofia of Sweden met with the founder of Idrott Utan Gränser, Mr. Admir Lukacevic, at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The new princess and her husband, Prince Carl Philip, first met Mr. Lukacevic last October 2, 2015, during the inauguration of the Idrott Utan Gränser at the Lommarskolan and the Grindskolan in Norrtälje.
Established in 2010, Idrott Utan Gränser is a non-profit organization which utilizes sport as a:
“…tool to help children and youth see opportunities and shape a future beyond their social affiliation. The aim is to strengthen the children’s confidence and self esteem to make them see future possibilities and thereby avoid future marginalization.”
On Monday, November 30, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, His Majesty King Carl Gustaf of Sweden, and His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid of Morocco, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani of Qatar, and His Highness Shaikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa of Bahrain attended the opening of the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference COP21 in Paris, France.
Government officials, intergovernmental organizations, UN agencies, NGOs, and world leaders including the President of the United States, Mr. Barack Obama, and the President of Russia, Mr. Vladimir Putin, attended today’s important conference.
The overall goal of the twelve-day COP21 conference is to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C.

On Thursday, October 15, 2015, the Swedish royal court announced that Her Royal Highness Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden are expecting their first child.
In a brief statement the happy couple, who were married in a lavish ceremony last June 13, 2015 inside the gorgeous Slottskyrkan (royal chapel) at the Kungliga Slottet (royal palace) in Stockholm, noted “We are so happy and excited to announce that we are expecting our first child. We are very much looking forward to it!”
On Wednesday, October 14, 2015, the Swedish royal court released the official portraits from His Royal Highness Prince Nicolas of Sweden, Duke of Ångermanland’s christening. The images were shot by well-known Swedish photographer, Mr. Mattias Edwall, at Drottningholms Slott in Stockholm.
The little prince was christened last Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Drottningholms Slottskyrka. Officiating the service were Archbishop Antje Jackelén, with assistance by “…Chaplain to The King and Bishop Emeritus Lars-Göran Lönnermark, and the Reverend Michael Bjerkhagen, Court Chaplain and Rector of the Royal Court Parish…” according to the Swedish royal court.
The godparents of HRH Prince Nicolas are HRH Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, Countess Natascha Abensperg und Traun, Mr. Henry d’Abo, Mr. Marco Wajselfisz, Mr.Gustaf Magnuson, and Mrs. Katarina von Horn.

On Tuesday, September 22, 2015, His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden attended the opening of the General Synod held at the Uppsala Domkyrka in Uppsala, Sweden.
On Thursday, September 17, 2015, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden opened the exhibition, Fredsmedlaren, at the Medelhavsmuseet in central Stockholm.
The exhibition tells the story of the late Folke Bernadotte, Count of Wisborg’s role as the United Nation’s mediator during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in 1948 and his important contributions to peace and security.
Fredsmedlaren will be open to the public on September 18-October 25, 2015.
On the morning of Tuesday, September 15, 2015, Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden and Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine of Sweden attended service at the Storkyrkan in Stockholm in connection with the opening of the Swedish Parliament session.
Thereafter, the royal family attended the opening ceremony of the Swedish annual parliament session held at the Riksdagen in Stockholm.

Yesterday evening the princess attended a cocktail reception held on the occasion of the opening GCF conference.
On the evening of Friday, September 4, 2015, Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden and Their Royal Highnesses Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden attended the annual Sverigemiddag (Sweden Dinner) held at the Kungliga Slott in Stockholm.
Over 200 guests from Swedish cultural, business, education, and sport sectors attended this evening’s gala dinner which was established in 2013 on the occasion of His Majesty’s 40th anniversary on the throne.
On Friday, September 4, 2015, the Swedish royal court announced that Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is expecting her second child. The baby is due sometime in March of 2016.

The Stockholm Junior Water Prize is an international award and competition which engages, encourages and supports the interest of youth in local and global water environment issues. Founded to complement the Stockholm Water Prize, the Stockholm Junior Water Prize was first awarded in Sweden in 1995 and internationally in 1997.
