On Tuesday, December 11, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias attended a working meeting with Board of Trustees from the Fundación CODESPA held at the Auditorio Rafael del Pino in Madrid.
Afterward, the future king of Spain attended the 16th Edition of the Premios CODESPA a la Empresa Solidaria which, “… recognizes the work of companies and media that promote solidarity and commitment to disadvantaged and respect for other cultures and peoples.”
The XIII Premio Nacional Joven Empresario, organized by the Confederación Española de Jóvenes Empresarios in collaboration with its subsidiary of Cadiz (AJE), honors Spanish entrepreneurs under the age of 40 who “… have managed to consolidate their business projects with success and viability …” according to the Spanish royal court.
On December 10, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias held audiences at the Palacio de La Zarzuela with members from the Jóvenes Marroquíes Representantes de Partidos Políticos and the Programa Líderes Hispanos de Estados Unidos.
Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain presided over the Premios Nacionales del Deporte 2011 at the Palacio Real de El Pardo in Madrid on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Also in attendance were Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias, and Her Royal Highness Infanta Elena.
According to the Spanish royal court these awards are:
“… granted annually by the Consejo Superior de Deportes to distinguish individuals or entities, either by their direct activity or initiative, either as partners in development of sports policy, have contributed prominently to promote or propagate exercise regularly.”
On December 4, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias presided over the XIV Edition of the Premio de Economía Rey Juan Carlos held at the Banco de España in Madrid.
The recipient of the award went to Professor Jaime Terceiro for “… his development and teaching methods of estimation of econometric models.”
Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain was at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fundación Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona (MACBA).
During her visit Her Majesty view an exhibition entitled, Episodios Críticos (1957-2011), as well as mingled with various guests.
