On the evening of December 19, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias presided over the 4th Edition of the Premios Mujer Hoy held at the Museo ABC in Madrid.  This award ceremony honors the “… most outstanding women of 2012 …”

  His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias presided over the Premios de la Real Fundación de Toledo held at the Palacio de Congresos El Greco on December 18, 2012.

According to the Spanish royal court the Premios de la Real Fundación de Toledo “… honors the contributions of individuals, organizations and projects that safeguard and revitalize Spain’s historical, cultural and artistic heritage …”

And, that’s it.   🙂

On December 18, 2012,  Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain along with The Duchess of Alba visited the exhibition entitled, El legado de la Casa Alba, held at the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid.

This special exhibition was organized by the Fundación Casa de Alba and the city of Madrid in collaboration of the community of Madrid according to the Spanish royal court. El legado de la Casa Alba “… contains over 150 works including paintings, sculptures, historical documents and manuscripts, antiquities, jewelry, furniture and more…”  

The exhibition ends on March 31, 2012.

His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias held audiences at Palacio de La Zarzuela with representatives from the Asociación de Empresarios Emprendedores de la Comunidad de Madrid (ASECAM), board members from the Asociación y del Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Aeronáuticos de España, and representatives from the Asociación Nacional de Fabricantes de Conservas de Pescados y Mariscos (ANFACO-CECOPESCA).

The prince also met with “… first year students of the Bachelor of Science…”  from the Universidad de Jaén​.

On Monday, December 17, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain presided over the meeting of the governing board of the Consejo del Real Patronato Sobre Discapacidad at Palacio de La Zarzuela.  Her Majesty is Honorary President of this organization.

On December 13, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias attended a very boring board meeting with members of the Fundación Príncipe de Girona at Palacio Albéniz.

Issues discussed during the meeting included “… activities carried out in 2012 and action plans and budget for 2013 …” 

Fascinating.

His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias was at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, to attend the 100th anniversary gala celebrations of the founding of the Spanish Olympic Committee.
