On July 1, 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias arrived at the Ministerio de Sanidad, Servicios Sociales and Ingualdad in Madrid to preside over the signing of the Proyceto Promocina, an agreement between the Ministerio de Sanidad, Servicios Sociales and Ingualdad and the Condederacion Espanola de Organizaciones Empresariales.
According to the Spanish royal court the Proyceto Promocina is intended to “…promote women in senior management positions by various Spanish companies.”
On the evening of June 26, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias arrived at the Palacio de Congresos in Girona to attend the 2013 Premios Fundación Príncipe de Girona.
The awards are presented to individuals and organizations for their “…outstanding entrepreneurial capacity in innovative project” according to the official website for the Fundación Príncipe de Girona.
Afterward, the royal couple and hundreds of guests attended a concert held at the Sala Sinfónica de Auditorio.
On June 26, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain arrived at the Instituto Cajal in Madrid to present the VI Diploma Cajal prize. Each year the prize is awarded to a neuroscientist for their outstanding research. This year the prize went to Professor Rodolfo Llinás.
After the ceremony, Her Majesty visited Instituto Cajal’s the library, research facility, museum and archives according to the Spanish royal court.
His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias arrived at the Parque del Retiro in Madrid this morning to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Cuerpo de Policía Municipal de Madrid.
During today’s event the prince and hundreds of guests watched a parade and medals presentation.
Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias arrived at the Sede Corporativa and Social de Garrigues in Madrid this morning to participate in a meeting with members of the Fundación Científica de la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer.
On the morning of June 19, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain arrived at the Sede de la Fundación Mutua Madrileña in Madrid to present scholarship grants from the Juventudes Musicales de Madrid to young musicians planning to study aboard.
After Her Majesty presented the scholarship grants she along with dozens of guests listened to a chamber orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Victor Ambroa, which played selections of musical works by Robert Schumann and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to name a few.
On the afternoon of June 18, 2013, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain arrived at the Sede del Consejo de Estado in Madrid to attend a luncheon meeting with representatives of the Comisión Permanente del Consejo de Estado. So, what did they talk about during their fancy luncheon? Honestly, if you knew it would bore you to death.
Meanwhile, across town, Their Royal Highness Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias participated in the annual meeting of the Patronato de la Residencia de Estudiantes according to the Spanish royal court.
