On Wednesday, April 23, 2014, Their Majesties King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain arrived at the Universidad de Alcalá in Alcalá de Henares to attend the Premio Cervantes 2013.
During today’s ceremony His Majesty presented the award to famed Mexican writer and journalist, Ms. Elena Poniatowska.

On the afternoon of April 22, 2014, Their Majesties King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias arrived at Palacio de la Zarzuela in Madrid to attend a luncheon ahead of the 2013 Premio Cervantes ceremony.
Tomorrow, His Majesty will present the 2013 Premio Cervantes to famed Mexican author and journalist, Ms.Elena Poniatowska.
