On the morning of June 16, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II arrived in Mu’tah to attend the “…graduation ceremony of the 26th class of Mu’tah University’s military wing” according to Petra News. During today’s ceremony His Majesty gave a speech congratulating all students as well as discussed the Syrian crisis and other important issues.
In the afternoon, His Majesty held an audience with the president of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Mr. Michel Plantini, in Amman.
Meanwhile, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan arrived at the Jordan Radio and Television headquarters in Amman to meet with “…past and present women presenters who are pioneers in the field of radio and television.”
On June 13, 2013, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II of Jordan arrived at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College in Amman to attend the school’s graduation ceremony as well as to present diplomas to the graduates.
According to Petra News, on June 12, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan met with:
“…170 beneficiaries of the Poverty Pockets Project Phase III implemented by the Community Centers Association and funded by the Ministry of Planning and International Coordination.
After listening to attendees talk about their own success stories and how their economic situation has improved, Queen Rania stressed the importance of building on individuals’ and families’ qualifications and the abilities they already possess to ensure the establishment of long term and sustainable development projects.”
On Monday, June 10, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II attended a celebration to mark Army Day and the anniversary of the Great Arab Revolt.
During yesterday’s event His Majesty “…bestowed medals upon several officers and members of the Jordan Armed Forces, the Public Security Department, the General Intelligence Department and the Civil Defense Department as well s injured military personnel in recognition of the services and distinguished track records…” according to Petra News.
In the afternoon, His Majesty held an audience with members of the Association of Mediterranean Ombudsman and with Patriarch Theophilus of the Holy CIty of Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan held a meeting with “…representatives of different education stakeholders in Jordan…” who informed Her Majesty about the various issues discussed during the recent 2013 Teacher’s Conference in Amman. The conference was organized by the Queen Rania Teacher Academy.
On Sunday, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan accompanied by the Jordanian Minister of Defense, various military officials and several members of the Jordanian royal family watched military exercises by the “…Jordan Armed Forces to mark the national holidays (Independence, Coronation, Army Day and Arab Revolt).”
During today’s event His Majesty watched F-5 and F-16 fighter jets as well as Black Hawks and Little Bird helicopters whiz through the air — here, there and everywhere — shooting at a bunch of targets and watching those targets being blown to smithereens.
It was very noisy.
In other news, today His Majesty celebrates his 14th anniversary of his accession to the Jordanian throne. Yay! Congrats to the king.

On Thursday, June 6, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan metwith a team of volunteer doctors from the non-profit organization, Children of War Foundation (COWF), in Amman. The Children of War Foundation provides “…access to donated transformative surgical care to children living with a physical deformity or injuries that cannot be treated in their home country.”
During today’s meeting, Her Majesty was informed about the latest work by the foundation including the “…40 children they [volunteer doctors] operated on at the King Hussein Medial Center in cooperation with the Jordanian Royal Medical Services…” according to Petra News.

On June 5, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan attended the International Academy Amman’s 2013 graduation ceremony. During today’s event Her Majesty gave a speech and wished all the graduates a congratulations. And, that’s it. 🙂
