On Monday, December 10, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the Prix 2012 de la Fondation Prince Louis de Polignac. Created in 1997 the Fondation Prince Louis de Polignac “… aims to promote French and European culture nod contribute to the development of science…”
The recipient of the Grand Prix de la Fondation, worth 15,000 Euros, went to Mr. Bruno Delmas. The Prix du Conseil d’administration de la Fondation, worth 5,000 Euros, went to Mr. Franz Weber and the Médaille d’honneur de la Fondation, went to Ms. Jacqueline von Hammerstein-Loxten.
On the morning of December 13, 2012, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the inauguration of the new premises of the Centre Médico-Psychologique and the Centre d’Accueil Thérapeutique à Temps Partiel in Monaco.
“The combination of these two centre’s within the same site, allows the sharing of infrastructure and some personal, it also meets the needs of larger surfaces generated by the development of their activities, which benefit more than 300 children and adolescents.”
Recently, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco visited the Institut de Paléontologie Humaine in Paris, France to preside over the 2012 Prince Rainier III de Monaco Research Award. This award“…recognize young researchers for their work on the prehistory. The recipients of this years award went to Ms. Elena Rossoni-Notter and Mr. Mehmet Cihat Alcicek …”
And, finally, this morning in Monaco, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene distributed gifts to dozens of Monégasque children during the traditional Fête de Noël at the Palais Princier. Besides receiving lovely gifts the children also had a chance to eat lots of sweets and well as play games.
Recently, Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie of Monaco visited Cape Town, South Africa as President of Fight Aids Monaco. The four-day visit was organized by the Consulat de Monaco and UNAIDS.
Per the Palais Princier:
“HSH Princess Stephanie began her journey with a warm and relaxed meeting with Archbishop Desmond Tutu at the headquarters of his foundation. Despite his age, Desmond Tutu, along with Nelson Mandela, a symbol of the struggle against Apartheid and remains a great South African moral voice denouncing injustices in his country and throughout the world.
During her South African sojourn, Princess Stephanie also visited the medical facility, Health for Men, dedicated to the health of men in the neighborhood of Woodstock, the medical center Mothers to Mothers in Khayelitsha (the largest township Cape Town, one of the largest in the country), the Desmond Tutu Center Tuberculosis specializing in Tuberculosis and AIDS in the township of Tygerberg. She also visited the community center, Etafeni, in the township of Nyanga, and finally, she visited the “Desmond Tutu Foundation HIV … “
Meanwhile, in South Africa, Princess Charlene’s personal foundation hosted a “… festive Christmas braai…” for the students and staff of the Gugulesizwe Primary School. Recently, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover along with her eldest son, Mr. Andrea Casiraghi, inaugurated the 2012 Village de Noël at Port Hercule in Monaco.
On December 7, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco met with French President, Mr. François Hollande, at the Palais de l’Elysée in Paris.
The sovereign prince and the President discussed“… quality of the Franco-Monegasque relationship…”, environmental issues and much more.
On December 6, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was in Doha, Qatarto attend the 18th United Nations Climate Change Conference. The sovereign prince also held an audience with His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani as well as met with Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Secretary General of the Qatar Olympic Committee.
