On the evening of June 3, 2014, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands hosted a gala dinner at Paleis Het Loo in Apeldoorn in honor of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco’s official visit to The Netherlands.
On June 3, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the opening of the exhibition, Grace Kelly: Prinses en Stijlicoon, at the Paleis Het Loo in Apeldoorn.
According to the official website for the Paleis Het Loo the exhibition presents:
“…the unique story of the fascinating and eventful life of Princess Grace of Monaco. Clothes, accessories, film clips and photographs bring to life again the tale of the princess from one of Europe’s oldest royal houses.”
On Tuesday, June 3, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at the Schiphol Airport in The Netherlands to begin his two-day official visit.
This morning the sovereign prince held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mr. Mark Rutte, in Den Haag. The sovereign prince also met with “…Ms. Anouchka van Miltenburg and Ms. Ankie Broekers-Knol, the presidents of the House of Representatives and Senate of the Netherlands…” according to AFP News.
The Palais Princier de Monaco announced on Friday, May 30, 2014, that Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco are expecting their first child together.
The baby is due sometime at the end of the year.

On Thursday, May 22, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the Peace One Day Monaco Gala — which aims to raise awareness of the Peace One Day campaign in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Great Lakes Region of Africa for Peace Day on September 21 — held at the Salle des Étoiles in Monte-Carlo.
The sovereign prince is patron of the Peace One Day campaign.
On Sunday, May 25, 2014, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco, wearing a “…whitecotton dress with [a] red silk racing stripe…” designed by Mr. Albert Kriemler for the house of Akris, attended the 72nd Edition of the Grand Prix de Monaco in Monte-Carlo, Monaco.
In the evening the lovely princely couple attended the F1 Grand Prix de Monaco gala dinner held inside the Salle des Étoiles at the Sporting de Monte Carlo.
