On the evening of Tuesday, July 1, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the opening of the 5th Edition of the Monaco Blue Initiative, organized by the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco in collaboration with the government of Chile and co-hosted by the Universidad de Concepción, held at the Union Club in Santiago, Chile. The theme of this year’s conference: Paving the Way to Multi-use Ocean Management.

Issues to be discussed during the two-day conference will focus on “…economic and social development around marine protected areas and those related to the maritime areas in the high seas governance…”

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Begins His Three-day Visit to Chile. (VIDEO)

On June 30, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco began his three-day visit to lovely Chile.

This morning the sovereign prince visited the Servicio Hidrográfico y Oceanográfico de la Armada (SHOA) in Valparaiso.

Tomorrow, Prince Albert II will arrive in Santiago to attend the launch of the 5th Edition of the Monaco Blue Initiative in collaboration with the government of Chile and co-hosted by the Universidad de Concepción.

Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco Attend the Opening of the New Yacht Club de Monaco Building.

MonacoOpeningOn Friday, June 20, 2014, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover and her two sons, Mr. Andrea Casiraghi and Mr. Pierre Casiraghi, attended the grand opening of the new Yacht Club de Monaco building located on the Quai Louis II.

The new building “…offer[s] owners and yachting professionals a friendly meeting place, that will contribute to the vitality of life in Port Hercule and the Principality’s international prestige. The building will also be home to the Société Nautique de Monaco, and has been designed by one of the world’s most respected architects, Lord Foster…”
