H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco Visits Sao Paulo, Brazil

On May 3, 2011, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco flew São Paulo, Brazil for an official three-day visit to the hot and sexy country.  The purpose of this trip is to met with local dignitaries as well as to open the photo exhibit at the Museu de Arte Brasileria entitled, The Grace Kelly Years, Princess of Monaco.

According to the site, Mutual Art, the exhibit was:

Curated by Frédéric Mitterrand, the current French minister of Culture, the exhibition was originally created in 2007 by the Grimaldi Forum, and brings together some 900 objects revisiting the life of the star who won the heart of Hollywood, the Principality of Monaco and its royalty. Among them are photographs, films, clothes, jewelry, accessories, paintingsletters to or from friends such as Queen Elizabeth, Greta Garbo, Frank Sinatra, Alfred Hitchcock, and Jacqueline Kennedy, all conserved and organized by the Palace of the Principality.

Visitors will have an opportunity to see mementos of her childhood and youth in Philadelphia, her successful career as an actress, her marriage to Prince Rainier III and her destiny as a princess. In addition, visitors will able to learn more about the devoted mother, caring friend, patron of the arts, chair of Monaco’s Red Cross, and champion of many humanitarian causes.

If you happen to live or will be visiting São Paulo, Brazil, the photo exhibit will run through July 11, 2011.  Admission is free.

Meanwhile, the prince also met with the São Paulo Football Club at their training center this past Tuesday. Here Prince Albert displayed his amazing skills at kicking a ball for all the world to see as well as for the director of the São Paulo Football Club, Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopez, coach Paulo Cesar Carpegiani, and the entire football team.

They were impressed.

Then on May 4, 2011, the prince met with São Paulo’s governor, Geraldo Alckmin, whereupon he gave the sport loving prince of Monaco a gift.  I have no idea what the hell he gave Prince Albert, but I’m sure it was nice, expensive, and completely useless. Nonetheless, it was a nice gesture.

“The Future Princess of Monaco is Impeccable and Perfect!” Proclaims Famous Fashion Designer Karl Lagerfeld. Oh Boy…

Hot off from the British royal wedding this past April 29, 2011, famous fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has officially proclaimed, on the television network France2, that Charlene Wittstock is “…impeccable and perfect!”

According to the French newspaper, Nice-Matin, Mr. Lagerfeld is in love with Charlene’s sense of style and grace (no pun intended.)  For him, she is the ultimate up and coming fashionista.

Uh, okay… he pretty much says that about everyone.  Then days later he changes his mind.

He’s elderly so he can get away with saying such things.

Nonetheless, I will say that Miss Wittstock looked quite lovely at the royal wedding as well as at the pre-wedding reception in London hosted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. But, I don’t agree with Mr. Lagerfeld’s comments.  Sure Charlene has her moments when she looks fantastic, but there are other times when she looks like a hot mess.

There I said it.  She’s not perfect.

The Future Princess of Monaco, Charlene Wittstock, To Have Her Own Anthem

According to the French newspaper, Nice-Matin, the future Princess of Monaco, Charlene Wittstock, will soon have her own anthem.  The musical piece was composed by Jean-Christophe Aurnague the, “…organist of the Church of the Sacred Heart.”

After the civil marriage on July 1, 2011, the new Princess Charlene of Monaco, will step out onto the balcony, to wave to her well-wishers, while the new anthem will play gloriously throughout the courtyard of the Palais Princier de Monaco.

Oh how lovely.

I’m sure we will hear this soon-to-be anthem at least a billion times by the end of the year, and I hope the piece will be good… it better be.   🙂

The Future Princess of Monaco’s Family to Move to Monaco?

In this morning’s South African newspaper, The Benoni City Times, journalist Clyde Meela reports that the future Princess of Monaco, Charlene Wittstock, parents are considering moving to Monaco on a permanent basis.   Not only to be near their only daughter, but to escape from “…the state of crime in this country (South Africa)…” notes Michael Wittstock.

You see, a couple of months ago the elderly Mr. Wittstock was attacked, robbed, and beaten outside of his home in Rynfield, South Africa (which I reported about here) days before his daughter, Charlene, was to participate in the famous Midmar Mile race.    The poor man “… sustained a broken nose and facial injuries.” (Look Local.co.za)  Today, he is doing well, in case you were wondering.

Anyway, Mr. Wittstock confirms that his wife, Lynette, is currently in Monaco to support her daughter during the final preparations for her upcoming princely wedding.   Mr. Wittstock is still on the fence as to whether or not he and his wife should make the permanent move to glitzy Monaco.  Now, if I were him I would live outside of Monaco perhaps in Cap d’Ail or someplace in the French countryside.  Why?  Monaco, though a nice place to visit, is too damn crowded.   Better to have nature and crap all around you than crowded buildings, small streets, and so forth.
