HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends a Gala Dinner in London.

On the evening of October 29, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at Sotheby’s in London, England, to attend a gala dinner, organized by the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, in honor of the late Sir Winston Churchill.

Royal guests in attendance included HRH The Countess of Wessex, HH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, and HH Princess Corinna Sayn-Wittgenstein to name a few.

(VIDEO) HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco Visits Plymouth University.

On October 29, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at Plymouth University in Plymouth, Devon, England, to officially open the new £4.85 million Marine Station.

According to the university’s official website the new two-story research station has:

“…teaching rooms with panoramic views of Plymouth Sound, a 120 square metre ‘wet lab’, where up to 50 students at a time can study samples, which can then be transferred to the aquarium facility served by continuous fresh seawater. 

[During today’s opening the sovereign prince] unveiled a plaque to signal the official opening.  He then took a tour of the building and met staff and students who use it as part of their marine biology and engineering degrees, and for research purposes.”

HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco Goes for a Dive.

On the morning of October 20, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at Larvotto Marine Reserve off the coast of Monte-Carlo to participate in a dive on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Association Monégasque pour la Protection de la Nature (Monégasque Association for the Protection of Nature).

During Tuesday’s dive a wreath was placed onto an underwater monument in memory of founder, Mr. Eugène Bernardi.

On Friday, October 16, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco gave a keynote speech during the 2015 Arctic Circle Assembly held at the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center in  Reykjavík, Iceland.

Established in 2013 the Arctic Circle Assembly is the world’s foremost meeting for international cooperation on Arctic issues with more than 1,500 participants from over 50 countries attending the annual meeting each year.

On Saturday, October 17, 2015, the sovereign prince attended the gala, Africa on the Rock, held at the Hôtel de Paris in Monte-Carlo.  The event was organized by the AMREF Flying Doctors in collaboration with the Fondation Princesse Charlene de Monaco.

And, finally, this morning at the Palais Princier the sovereign prince welcomed delegation from town of Matignon, France, to the palais on the occasion of Monaco Heritage Day.  According to the Palais Princier, the sovereign prince listened to a “…serenade of traditional Breton music [in] tribute to Prince Albert.” 

In a statement about today’s event the Palais Princier also notes that an:

“…exhibition about the Hotel Matignon, the Paris living place of the Princes of Monaco in the eighteenth century, was presented in the Palace library.  The sovereign prince was keen to accommodate visitors who came to attend one of the exhibition presentations, almost three hundred years to the day after the celebration, in Monaco, of the Matignon-Grimaldi marriage, in October 20 1715.” 

HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco Participates a Meeting in Luxembourg.

On Thursday, October 15, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at the Palais Grand-Ducal in Luxembourg to participate in the International Paralympic Committee’s (IPC) Biennial Honorary Board meeting hosted by Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa of Luxembourg.

Other royal guests attending today’s meeting included His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands.

In an IPC press release about the meeting the lovely grand duchess stated:

“…I feel honored to be part of an organization which not only encourages athletes at a Paralympic level, but also gives enormous hope and inspiration to the many who are trying to surpass their physical boundaries on a daily basis.”

(VIDEOS) HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco Visits the South Pacific.

On Thursday, October 8, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at Faa’a International Airport in Pape’ete, Tahiti, to witness a signing agreement between the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, Institut Océanographique, and the Moorea based association, Te Mana O Te Moana.  Te Mana O Te Moana, meaning Spirit of the Ocean, conducts “…research studies and projects on Polynesian sea fauna, marine flora and the island ecosystem…” according to the association’s official website.

The agreement between the three organizations aims to protect endangered sea turtles throughout French Polynesia.

Later in the day, the sovereign prince arrived in the town Tarawa on the island of Kiribati to participate in a three-day summit organized by the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco.  Discussions focused on climate change, the marine environment, and more.

Prince Albert II also visited Rapa Nui (aka Easter Island), located in the southeast Pacific, where he met with local representatives who will be the caretakers of the new 630, 000km marine reserve.

HRH Princess Caroline of Hanover Presides Over the 2015 Prix de la Fondation Prince Pierre.

On Tuesday, October 6, 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover presented the 2015 Prix de la Fondation Prince Pierre (FPP) to six winners inside the Salon des Glaces at the Palais Princier in Monaco.  Later in the afternoon, the lovely princess arrived at the Salle Garnier at the Casino de Monte-Carlo to attend the prestigious FPP award ceremony.
