This is old news, but better late then never, right?   🙂

On October 6, 2011, H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Hanover attended the Gemluc (Groupement des Entreprises Monegasques dans la Lutte contre el Cancer) Evening of Hope at the Monaco Automobile Club.

Gemluc is a “…charitable association founded in 1973 to fight against this plague which is cancer. Since its establishment it has raised 1.580.000 € which have been used for all kinds of aspects in the fight against cancer in areas such as research, aid for patients as well as buying materials for hospitals.” source

According to a Palais Princier de Monaco statement, the money raised will be used to purchase a new “record and verify” system for the dosimeters used in anti-cancer radiotherapy at the Princess Grace Hospital, thus greatly improving their safety. During the evening, a painting by Sandro Brand, an artist taking part in the GemlucART exhibition-competition, was presented to H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover.
