His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Participates in a Charity Football Match While Princess Charlene Cheers Him On. (VIDEO)

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco participated in a charity football match with his team, Équipe Star pour les Enfants (Star Team for the Children), versus the F1 racing team, Nazionale Piloti, at the Stade Louis II in Monaco on May 22, 2012. Also, in attendance were Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco, cheering on her husband as he played, Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra of Hanover as well as Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie of Monaco and her daughters.

The purpose of the charity match was to raise money for the Princess Charlene Foundation.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Visits the Musée National de la Légion d’Honneurt des Ordres de Chevalerie in Paris

On May 16, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was in Paris, France visiting the Musée National de la Légion d’Honneur.  Upon his arrival the sovereign prince was welcomed by the Grand Chancellor of the Legion of Honour, General Jean-Louis Georgelin, then received “…received the honours of a Republican guard detachment.”

Soon, Prince Albert II was given a tour of the exhibition, La Berline de Napoléon, le Mystère du butin de Waterloo, by the curator of the musée, Ms. Anne Chefdebien.  Afterward, the sovereign prince participated in a meeting with General Jean-Louis Georgelin then attended a reception with local dignitaries as well as Prince Albert II’s delegation.

On May 15, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco participated in the launch of the Polaires au Centre Scientifique de Monaco held at the Musée Océanographique.

During yesterday’s event the sovereign prince participated in a conference with:

… leading specialists of polar ecosystems.  Attendees included Professor Yvon Le Maho, Member of the Academy of Sciences of France, Professor Nils Christian Stenseth, President of the Academy of Sciences and Letters of Norway and Member of the Academy of Sciences of France.

Also on Tuesday, the sovereign prince received Lettres de Créance from ambassadors from Gabon, Nepal and Mali at the Palais Princier de Monaco.

Random Royal News Regarding His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco held an audience on May 14, 2012, with the Director General of the ITER Organization, Professor Osamu Motojima, at the Palais Princier de Monaco.

Also in attendance were the Minister of State, Mr. Michel Roger, the Government Advisor, Mr. Marco Piccinni, as well as five postdoctoral researchers from around the world including Mr. Sun Hee Kim, Mr. Ian Pong, and Mr. Jing Na to name a few.

According to the Palais, the ITER Organization and the Principauté de Monaco “… formed a partnership agreement which provides funding…” for five postdoctoral researchers every two years:

This agreement trains the next generation of scientists and engineers from partner countries (EU, China, the Japan, the India, the Republic of Korea, the Russia Federation and the United States) or the Principality of Monaco, but to also establish the foundations for an international centre for research in nuclear fusion. The postdoctoral researchers will benefit from training in a research topic related to the various areas related to the construction and development with the future project ITER Fusion Reactor.

Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco Make a Pilgrimage to Lourdes. Plus, Other News

On Sunday, May 13, 2012, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco celebrated the international mass of the 54th International Military Pilgrimage in Lourdes.  

The princely couple were guests of honor at the Basilica Saint-Pie X along with dozens of other international delegations.

And, finally, last night at the Sporting d’Ete His Serene Highness Prince Albert II attended a gala dinner to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Centre Cardio Thoracique in Monaco.

Random Royal News Regarding His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover.

On May 11, 2012, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg held an audience with representatives from the United Nations at the Grand Ducal palace.  These representatives are participating in a seminar entitled, ‘Diplomacy, Development and Defense: The Importance of a Holistic Approach to the Maintenance of Peace and International Security’ according to the Cour Grand-Ducale de Luxembourg.

Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover was in Baden-Baden, Germany on May 11, 2012, to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the Margraviate of Baden (became a Grand Duchy in 1806-1918.)  According to a press release regarding the celebrations, the House of Baden is:

… the oldest and influential in German history and has influenced greatly both Baden-Württemberg and Baden.

Again and again the House Baden remained throughout its history with major challenges, threats, even before the end.  And, time and again the house has managed to survive.
