HRH Princess Marie of Denmark Opens an Exhibition in Kolding.

On September 3, 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Marie of Denmark opened the exhibition, Georg Jensen: Et Eventyr i Dansk Sølv (Georg Jensen: A Tale of Danish Silver), held at the Museet på Koldinghus in Kolding.

Held on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the late Georg Jensen this special exhibition takes visitors on a:

“… journey through the stylistic periods, which is presented through pieces of Georg Jensen himself and the many talented designers who has been affiliated with smithies from the beginning and to the present.  [The exhibition] opens with an impressive selection of the masters own beautiful jewellery with flora and fauna motives and the hammered hollowware with vigorous decorations.”

His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex Opens a New Building at the King Edward’s School.

EoWOn May 12, 2015, His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex opened the new  £3 million Wessex Building at the King Edward’s School in Bath.  Designed by BBA Architects the building houses a library, rooms for lectures, concerts, social events, a dining hall which “…seats 230 people and boasts a terrace with views over Bath…” according to the newspaper, Bath Chronicle.

Members of the Swedish Royal Family Attend the Global Child Forum Partnerdag.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2015, Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden accompanied by Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Miss Sofia Hellqvist attended the 2015 Global Child Forum Partnerdag meeting held at the Kungliga Slottet in Stockholm.

According to the Swedish royal court, discussions focused on “…[how] children’s rights can be integrated as part of core business activities, values ​​and strategies.  [Furthermore] goals for the upcoming year and other future plans…”

(VIDEO) His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium Visits the European Space Agency.

BelgiumOn March 17, 2015, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium visited the European Space Agency (ESA) ground station in Redu, Belgium.

According to a press release, the “…main task of ESA’s Redu Centre is controlling and testing a range of satellites, but it also forms part of Space Weather Data Centre…”
