(VIDEOS) TRHs The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Visit The Bahamas: Day Two

On Friday, March 25, 2022, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continued their royal visit to the beautiful Bahamas in celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee year.

The day began with a visit to the Sybil Strachan Primary School in Nassau where The Duke and Duchess met with teachers, staff, and enthusiastic students. During their visit, the royal couple planted a tree and received a painting of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Soon, it was off to meet with healthcare workers “…who have been on the frontline of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic…” Then they were whisked off to watch a fabulous parade in Parliament Square and finally the royal couple participated in the Platinum Jubilee regatta.

This evening, The Duke and Duchess will attend the Governor-General’s reception held at the Baha Mar Beach Resort and Convention Center.

On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, Their Royal Highness The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica, as part of their three-day royal tour of the Caribbean in celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee year.

HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends a Conference at the  Musée Océanographique de Monaco.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, March 22, 2022, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the conference, Ocean Leadership at Scale: Journeys and Stories from Leaders Around the World, held a the Musée Océanographique de Monaco in Monaco-Ville.

The conference is a part of Monaco Ocean Week organized by the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, Institut Océanographique, Fondation Prince Albert I, Centre Scientifique de Monaco, Yacht Club de Monaco, and the Gouvernement Princier de Monaco.

Today’s event highlighted various leadership journeys from a global community of ocean leaders, who are making a difference where they live and work. Attendees also had an opportunity to share their stories as well.

HRH Crown Princess Mary of Denmark Meets with the Secretary-General of DRC Danish Refugee Council

On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark met with the Secretary-General of the DRC Danish Refugee Council, Ms. Charlotte Slente, at Amalienborg Slot in Copenhagen.

According to the Danish royal court, the Crown Princess:
“…received a briefing on the refugee situation in Ukraine. The DRC Danish Refugee Council is working closely with authorities and local organizations to help the many people who cross the border to Ukraine’s neighboring countries every day. The Secretary-General has just returned from Poland which has received approximately 1.7 million refugees from Ukraine. Secretary-General Slente was to tell the Crown Princess at today’s briefing about the organization’s work in contributing to providing safety and protection for the many refugees who are often women and children. It is a special challenge in Ukraine to secure the humanitarian corridors so that emergency aid can reach to the needy and people can be helped out.”

His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and HRH Princess Margriet of the Netherlands Meet with Dutch Paralympians

On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands met with several Dutch Paralympian medal winners who participated in the 2022 Paralympic Games held in Beijing, China. The meeting took place at the Paleis Noordeinde in Den Haag.

TRHs Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg Visit the Liewenshaff Socio-Educational Center

On Friday, March 11, 2022, Their Royal Highnesses Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg visited the Liewenshaff Socio-Educational Center in Merscheid, Luxembourg.

Established in 1992 by the non-profit organization, Päerds Atelier, volunteers from the Liewenshaff Socio-Educational Center provide “…help for young people over the age of 16 with behavioral difficulties and/or those who dropped out of school…” according to the Cour Grand-Ducale de Luxembourg.

The Liewenshaff Socio-Educational Center currently has twenty students who are supported by an educational and multi-disciplinary team. In a workshop, a teacher ensures the “…professionalization of young people through five modules: Iron, Agronomy, Horticulture, Cooking and Industrial Cleaning. “

Anyway, during today’s visit the royal couple met with students, staff, and toured the Liewenshaff Socio-Educational Center grounds.

(VIDEO) HRH Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands Opens a New Wing at the Singer Laren Museum 

On Tuesday, March 8, 2022, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands opened a new wing at the Singer Laren Museum in Laren, Netherlands.

The new wing is four hundred square meters and consists of five exhibition rooms, a Nardinc gallery, a garden room as a reception area, a cinema and an extensive museum shop. 

During yesterday’s visit Princess Beatrix also opened the highly anticipated art exhibit, Sluijters en de Modernen: Collectie Nardinc. The Nardinc Collection was generously donated to the Singer Laren Museum by Ms. Els Blokker-Verwer. The collection consists of more than forty works of art by the late post-impressionist artist, Mr. Jan Sluijters, and more than seventy works by modern contemporaries artists.
