TRHs Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg Visit the Liewenshaff Socio-Educational Center

On Friday, March 11, 2022, Their Royal Highnesses Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg visited the Liewenshaff Socio-Educational Center in Merscheid, Luxembourg.

Established in 1992 by the non-profit organization, Päerds Atelier, volunteers from the Liewenshaff Socio-Educational Center provide “…help for young people over the age of 16 with behavioral difficulties and/or those who dropped out of school…” according to the Cour Grand-Ducale de Luxembourg.

The Liewenshaff Socio-Educational Center currently has twenty students who are supported by an educational and multi-disciplinary team. In a workshop, a teacher ensures the “…professionalization of young people through five modules: Iron, Agronomy, Horticulture, Cooking and Industrial Cleaning. “

Anyway, during today’s visit the royal couple met with students, staff, and toured the Liewenshaff Socio-Educational Center grounds.

(VIDEO) HRH Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands Opens a New Wing at the Singer Laren Museum 

On Tuesday, March 8, 2022, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands opened a new wing at the Singer Laren Museum in Laren, Netherlands.

The new wing is four hundred square meters and consists of five exhibition rooms, a Nardinc gallery, a garden room as a reception area, a cinema and an extensive museum shop. 

During yesterday’s visit Princess Beatrix also opened the highly anticipated art exhibit, Sluijters en de Modernen: Collectie Nardinc. The Nardinc Collection was generously donated to the Singer Laren Museum by Ms. Els Blokker-Verwer. The collection consists of more than forty works of art by the late post-impressionist artist, Mr. Jan Sluijters, and more than seventy works by modern contemporaries artists.

Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium Visits a Specialized Secondary School in Schilde.

On Thursday, February 24, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited Zonnebos, a specialized secondary school in Schlide as part of Anti-Bullying Week in Belgium.

During this morning’s visit Her Majesty was informed about the school’s anti-bullying policy which recently won the school a silver medal for their program, Bullying: That’s Not Possible. Her Majesty also participated in various activities at the school that raises awareness about bullying. An important moment of during today’s visit included a story of a student who was a victim of bullying and harassment in school.

The young man shared his story after seeing a video which included a whole series of interventions by young victims of bullying. When Her Majesty asked the students what they thought of the video footage, one of students replied: ” It happened to me too…” Her Majesty immediately took an interest in the young man’s story and asked him if he had been able to discuss it at school. “It’s a first step to talk about it like you do ,” she told the young man.

According to the Belgian royal court, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde:

“…concluded her visit by attending a Hippotherapy demonstration. The school relies on horses to help children overcome their difficulties and behavioral problems.”

TRHs Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg Attend a Ceremony at Dräi Eechelen Park.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 22, 2022, Their Royal Highnesses Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg along with His Royal Highness Prince Charles of Luxembourg attended a ceremony at Dräi Eechelen Park in Luxembourg.

Yesterday’s ceremony was organized by the Scouting in Luxembourg (SIL) in which HRH Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume is Patron as well as the Chief Scout of Luxembourg.

During the celebrations His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume gave a speech in front of dozens of people including Mrs. Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the City of Luxembourg as well as representatives of two Luxembourg associations, the Fédération Nationale des Eclaireurs et Eclaireuses du Luxembourg (FNEL) and the Lëtzebuerger Guiden a Scouten (LGS).

On the morning of Wednesday, February 23, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark accompanied by Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark hosted a reception for Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge at Christian IX’s Palace at Amalienborg in Copenhagen.

After the reception, HRH Crown Princess Mary of Denmark hosted a private luncheon for HRH The Duchess of Cambridge at Frederik VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg. 

In the afternoon, HRH Crown Princess Mary and HRH The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Danner Crisis Center. Whilst there The Crown Princess and The Duchess viewed a presentation of the “…Mary Foundation and the the Ole Kirk Foundation efforts for the approximately 2,000 children who come to the shelter with their mother every year in Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands…” according to the Danish royal court. The backpacks, which are adapted to the child’s gender and age, contain in addition to a toothbrush, a teddy bear, school supplies and a postcard also a greeting from The Crown Princess. Furthermore, the backpack serves as a tool to help the children “…talk about their experiences with it, the violence they witnessed and the failure they have experienced.”

Later in the day HRH The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Skovbørnehaven Stenurten in Ballerup just outside of Copenhagen.

(VIDEO) His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain Meets with the President of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vučić.

On the morning of Wednesday, February 23, 2022, His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain meet with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, at Palacio de La Zarzuela in Madrid, Spain.

According to the Spanish royal court the meeting was also attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Mr. José Manuel Albares Bueno, the Spanish Ambassador to Serbia, Mr. Raúl Bartolomé Molina, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Nikola Selaković, the Counselor for Foreign Affairs of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Ms. Tatjana Jović.

After the meeting, His Majesty King Felipe VI hosted a luncheon in honor of President Vučić at the palace.
