News Regarding Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg.

LuxembourgOn Wednesday, January 15, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg held audiences on the occasion of the New Year at the Palais Grand-Ducal.

In the evening, the grand-ducal family attended the première performance of West Side Story at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg.

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Félix and Princess Claire of Luxembourg Are Expecting Their First Child.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Grand Duke and The Grand Duchess are very pleased to announce that Prince Félix and Princess Claire are expecting their first baby.  

Birth is expected to take place in June. 

The Grand Duke, The Grand Duchess, Grand Duke Jean and members of the Royal family as well as the Lademacher family are delighted with the news.”

Their Imperial and Royal Highnesses Archduke Imre and Archduchess Kathleen of Austria Baptize Their First Child.

486px-Imperial_Coat_of_Arms_of_the_Empire_of_Austria_(1815).svgOn Saturday, December 14, 2013, Their Imperial and Royal Highnesses Archduke Imre and Archduchess Kathleen of Austria (aka Imre and Kathleen de Habsbourg-Lorraine) baptized their first child, HI&RH Archduchess Maria-Stella, at the L’eglise Fischbach (Fischbach Church) in Luxembourg.

Guests in attendance included Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg, Their Royal Highnesses Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg, Their Imperial and Royal Highnesses Archduke Carl-Christian and Archduchess Marie-Astrid of Austria (aka de Habsbourg-Lorraine) to name a few.

Archduke Imre and his lovely American-born wife, Kathleen, were married on September 8, 2012, at the Old St. Mary Mother of God Church in Washington D.C.

Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg

The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg Visit Turkey. (VIDEOS)

On November 19, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg arrived in Ankara, Turkey for a five-day state visit to Turkey.

Upon their arrival at the Çankaya Presidential Palace the grand ducal couple were warmly welcomed by the President of Turkey, Abdullah Gül, and First Lady Hayrunnisa Gül.  After the inspection of the guard and a photo-op for the press on the steps of the palace, President Gül ushered the grand ducal couple into the palace where gifts were exchanged.

Thereafter, Grand Duke Henri and President Gül accompanied by the Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and a Luxembourg business delegation held a meeting.  Meanwhile, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and First Lady Hayrunnisa Gül attended a luncheon.

Belgian Royals, Dutch Royal Family, Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg, Swedish Royals

Royals From Sweden, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands Attend the IPC Honorary Board Meeting in Brussels.

Crown Princess Victoria of SwedenOn October 8, 2013, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg,  Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands, and Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, as host, attended International Paralympic Committee Honorary Board meeting held at the Palais Royal in Brussels.

According to the official website for the IPC, the royal ladies and other attendees were:

“…updated on the growth of the Paralympic Movement over the last two years and received further insight into the activities that surrounded the London 2012 Paralympic Games, as well those for future Paralympics.

Members were [also] informed about the IPC’s vision in the lead-up to the Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 Games, as well as the Agitos Foundation, which is the IPC’s new development arm.”
