On June 19, 2013, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands toured the provinces of Flevoland and Overijssel. The purpose of their visit was to meet the people as well as with various officials.

Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands Attends the Zilveren Anjers Awards Ceremony. (VIDEOS)
On the morning of June 18, 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands arrived at the Koninklijk Paleis in Amsterdam to attend the Zilveren Anjers of the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds awards ceremony.
Since 1950 the Zilveren Anjers have been awarded annually “…to individuals who voluntarily worked for culture and nature conservation.” During today’s ceremony the princess presented the Zilveren Anjers to Ms. Caroline de Westenholz, Mr. Frans Wytema and Mr. Jos de Pont.

On the morning of June 18, 2013, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands arrived in Den Haag to visit the Stichting Saffier De Residentiegroep’s (Foundation Sapphire Residence Group) Generatietuin van Nederland (Generation Garden Netherlands).
According to RVD, the Generatietuin van Nederland is a place where youth come after school to spend time with residents of a retirement home. During visits the residents and the youth garden together, eat, and simply hang out and enjoy each other’s company.

On Friday, June 14, 2013, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands visited the provinces of Noord-Holland and Fryslân.
The purpose of the visits to various provinces around the Netherlands is to meet the people, local officials and generally to have a fabulous time. I mean, who wouldn’t? Who wouldn’t have a fun time? It is the Netherlands after all and it is a beautiful country filled with great people. 🙂

On June 12, 2013, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands visited the provinces of North Brabant and Limburg in the southern Netherlands.
Whilst in North Brabant the Their Majesties visited the towns of Roosendaal, Oisterwijk, and ‘S Hertogenbosch. In the province of Limburg the reigning couple toured the towns of Heerlen, Vredepeel, Venlo,Maastricht, and Sittard-Geleen.
