His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Visits the Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt. (VIDEO)

willOn Wednesday, January 22, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands arrived at the Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt in Utrecht to attend the ceremonial minting of the new Dutch Euro coins.

According to RVD, the “…design of the new euro coins was made by the Dutch photographer Erwin Olaf.  On January 23 the new coins will be put into circulation in the Dutch payment services…”

HM King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Opens Bovaghuis. (VIDEO)

dutchOn Tuesday, January 21, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands opened the newly renovated Bovaghuis in Bunnik.

According to RVD, Bovaghuis was:

“…built in the late 80s along the A12 highway in Bunnik.  After nearly 25 years, the building no longer met the requirements of the times and went through extensive renovation.”

Anyway, after the opening His Majesty was given a tour of the building and met with people who, well, attended the opening.   🙂

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands Welcome the President of France. (VIDEO)

KingWAOn the morning of January 20, 2014, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands welcomed the President of France, Mr. François Hollande, to Paleis Noordeinde in Amsterdam.

The purpose of President Hollande and his delegation’s visit to the Netherlands is to strengthen bilateral and economic ties between to two countries.

After the official welcoming ceremony Their Majesties ushered President Hollande into Paleis Noordeinde where they posed for official photos for the press.

In the afternoon, Their Majesties hosted a luncheon in honor of President Hollande at the Paleis where speeches were made and tons of toasts.  An hour or so later, President Hollande and his delegation were off to participate in several meetings with various Dutch government officials as well as with influential Dutch businessmen.

Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands Host the 2014 Nieuwjaarsontvangst.

dutchOn January 15, 2014, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands, and Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands and Professor Pieter van Vollenhoven hosted the 2014 Nieuwjaarsontvangst (New Year’s reception) held at the Koninklijk Paleis in Amsterdam.

Today’s reception was held for members of international organizations and foreign diplomats according to RVD.
