On Thursday, May 8, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands arrived in Stavoren to officially open the second Johan Frisosluis (Johan Friso lock).
According to RVD, the construction of the lock is “…one of the last major projects of the Friese Merenproject (Frisian Lakes Project).”
On May 7, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands officially opened the Amaliahal event hall at the Nationaal Hippisch Centrum (National Equestrian Center) in Ermelo.
According to RVD, the new event hall:
“…consists of several stables, offices, a training room, bed room, and an events arena. This new Amaliahal offers space for both national and international events.”
On Tuesday, May 6, 2014, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands visited the region of Achterhoek in the province of Gelderland.

On Wednesday, April 23, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands arrived at the Erasmus Medisch Centrum in Rotterdam to attend the 1000th language course for Hago Care cleaners according to RVD.
During today’s event Her Majesty presented certificates to those who completed the course.
On Tuesday, April 22, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, as Patron of Scouting Nederland, visited the “…girl scouts Scouting Lunteren…” according to RVD.
On April 17, 2014, Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands arrived at the Mint in Utrecht to officially open the Rode Kruis Congres 2014 Power to the People: De Kracht van Burgers in de Hulpverlening bij Rampen en Crises.
On Tuesday, April 15, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands arrived in the town of Alphen aan den Rijn to officially opened the “…walk in house of the foundation De Gele Linde. The center provides a meeting point for cancer patients…” according to AFP News.
