Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark Attends the EHF EURO 2014 Handball Championship.

DenmarkOn Sunday, January 12, 2014, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark accompanied by the Danish Prime Minister, Ms. Helle Thorning-Schmidt, attended the opening of the “…men’s EHF EURO 2014 Handball Championship group A match between Denmark and Macedonia…” at the Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning according to AFP news.

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark Visits the Say Tha Mar Gyi Camp in Myanmar. (VIDEOS)

MaryofdenmarkOn Sunday, January 12, 2014, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark visited the Say Tha Mar Gyi Camp in the Rakhine State in Myanmar.

According to the Associated Press, the future queen of Denmark accompanied by the Danish Minister for Development, Mr. Rasmus Petersen, met with various “…Muslim refugees who become displaced following sectarian violence [in the country].  Crown Princess Mary also visited the Sat Roe Kya relocation camp…”

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark Continues Her Visit to Myanmar.

Mary 2012On Saturday, January 11, 2014, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark continued her visit to the Southeast Asian country of Myanmar.

The crown princess accompanied by the Danish Minister for Development, Mr. Rasmus Petersen,  began her day with a tour of the Shwedagon Pagoda Buddhist temple in Yangon.

Thereafter, the crown princess arrived in Sittwe, the capital of the Rakine State, where she held a meeting with the Rakhine State Chief Minister according to the Danish royal court.

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark Visits Yangon, Myanmar. (VIDEO)

MaryOn Friday, January 10, 2014, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, as Patron of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), began her visit to the Southeast Asian country of Myanmar (aka Burma).

According to the official website for the UNFPA Myanmar the day began in Yangon where the crown princess accompanied by the Danish Minister for Development, Mr. Rasmus Petersen, visited the “…UNFPA-sponsored Youth Development Center…” 

Thereafter, the crown princess visited the Marie Stopes International health clinic as well as attended a reception with “…Danes living and working in Myanmar as well as NGOs and other partners in Yangon …” according to the Danish royal court.

Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark Attend the Funeral of the Late Countess Anne Dorte of Rosenborg.

QMII and PHOn January 9, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark arrived at the Kongens Lyngby Kirke to attend the funeral of the late Countess Anne Dorte of Rosenborg.

The late countess passed away at the age of 66 on January 2, 2014.  She is survived by her three daughters Countess Josephine, Countess Camilla, and Countess Feodora.
